অচিরেই নির্বাচনি রোডম্যাপে যাত্রা শুরু করবে বাংলাদেশ: তারেক রহমান
বিএনপির ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারম্যান তারেক রহমান বলেছেন, অচিরেই বাংলাদেশ একটি নির্বাচনি রোডম্যাপের মাধ্যমে গণতন্ত্রের পথে এগিয়ে যাবে। তিনি দেশবাসীকে জনগণের সঙ্গে থাকার এবং তাদের সহযোগিতা করার আহ্বান জানান।
রোববার (১৫ ডিসেম্বর) বিকেলে রাজধানীর ইঞ্জিনিয়ার্স ইনস্টিটিউশন মিলনায়তনে বিজয় দিবস উপলক্ষে বিএনপির আয়োজিত আলোচনায় ভার্চুয়ালি বক্তব্য দেন তারেক রহমান। সভায় সভাপতিত্ব করেন বিএনপি মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীর। দলের শীর্ষ নেতারা এ সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
তারেক রহমান বলেন, ‘লাখো প্রাণের বিনিময়ে অর্জিত এ বিজয়ের ৫৪তম বার্ষিকীতে দেশবাসীকে জানাই বিজয়ের আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা। ১৯৭১ সালের মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চেতনায় সাম্য ও মানবিক মূল্যবোধ প্রতিষ্ঠায় আমাদের ঐক্যবদ্ধ হতে হবে।’ তিনি আরও বলেন, ‘তাবেদার অপশক্তি দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে দেশকে পেছনের দিকে টেনে নিয়ে গেছে। তবে ৫ আগস্ট জনগণের আন্দোলনের মুখে মাফিয়া চক্রের সরকারের পতনের মধ্য দিয়ে স্বাধীনতার গৌরব রক্ষা পেয়েছে।’
তারেক রহমান জনগণের ভোটাধিকার হরণের অতীত ঘটনাগুলো তুলে ধরে বলেন, ‘গণতন্ত্রের কেন্দ্রবিন্দু জনগণ। তাদের সরাসরি ভোটে নির্বাচিত জনপ্রতিনিধি দ্বারা সরকার গঠনের মাধ্যমেই জনগণের অধিকার নিশ্চিত হয়। বর্তমান অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারকে তাদের পরিকল্পনা স্পষ্ট করে জনগণের সামনে রোডম্যাপ উপস্থাপন করতে হবে।’
তারেক রহমান ডেঙ্গুতে মৃত্যুর বিষয়টি উল্লেখ করে বলেন, ‘প্রতিদিনই মানুষ ডেঙ্গুতে মারা যাচ্ছে। নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় জিনিসের দাম বৃদ্ধি জনজীবনকে কঠিন করে তুলেছে। অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারের উচিত সংস্কারের পাশাপাশি জনগণের দুর্ভোগ লাঘবে কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা।’
তিনি জানান, বিএনপি বৈষম্যহীন ও মানবিক বাংলাদেশ গড়তে ৩১ দফা কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা করেছে। এই কর্মসূচির বাস্তবায়নে প্রতিটি নাগরিকের দায়িত্ব রয়েছে। আলোচনা সভায় আরও বক্তব্য দেন বিএনপির স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্য ড. খন্দকার মোশাররফ হোসেন, ড. আবদুল মঈন খান, নজরুল ইসলাম খান, সেলিমা রহমানসহ শীর্ষ নেতারা।
