ইবি শিক্ষক হাফিজকে বিভাগীয় কার্যক্রম থেকে বিরত থাকার নির্দেশ

ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (ইবি) ডেভেলপমেন্ট স্টাডিজ বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক হাফিজুল ইসলামের বিরুদ্ধে ছাত্রীদের নিয়ে কুরুচিপূর্ণ মন্তব্য, গালিগালাজ, রেজাল্ট কমিয়ে দেওয়া, ছাত্রীদের পোশাক নিয়ে বাজে মন্তব্য, পরীক্ষায় ফেল করানোর ভয় দেখানো, সমকামিতা ও মানসিক অত্যাচারসহ নানা গুরুতর অভিযোগ উঠেছে। এসব অভিযোগের প্রেক্ষিতে একটি তদন্ত কমিটি গঠন করেন উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. নকীব মোহাম্মদ নসরুল্লাহ। তদন্ত শেষে চূড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত না আসা পর্যন্ত ওই শিক্ষককে বিভাগীয় সকল কার্যক্রম থেকে বিরত থাকার নির্দেশ দিয়েছে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষ। বুধবার (২৩ অক্টোবার) বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভারপ্রাপ্ত রেজিস্ট্রার এইচ.এম. আলী হাসান স্বাক্ষরিত একটি চিঠিতে এই সিদ্ধান্ত জানানো হয়েছে। চিঠিতে বলা হয়েছে, হাফিজুল ইসলামের বিরুদ্ধে সংঘটিত শিক্ষার্থীদের আন্দোলনের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে এবং তাদের লিখিত ও মৌখিক অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে গঠিত তদন্ত কমিটির কাজ চলমান রয়েছে। তদন্ত কার্যক্রমের চূড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত না আসা পর্যন্ত তাকে বিভাগের অ্যাকাডেমিক ও পরীক্ষা সংক্রান্তসহ বিভাগীয় সকল কার্যক্রম থেকে বিরত থাকতে বলা হয়েছে। এর আগে তাকে স্থায়ী বহিস্কারের দাবিতে একাধিকবার বিক্ষোভ, প্রধান ফটকে তালা এবং কুশপুত্তলিকা দাহ করেন বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীরা।
