কঙ্গোর পর্বতে আগ্নেয়গিরি, বাসিন্দাদের সরিয়ে নেয়ার নির্দেশ
কঙ্গোর নাইরাগঙ্গো পর্বতে আগ্নেয়গিরি বিস্ফোরণের ফলে গোমা শহরের বিমানবন্দর এলাকায় লাভা ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। এ ঘটনায় ঐ এলাকার বাসিন্দাদের সরিয়ে নেয়ার নির্দেশ দিয়েছে দেশটির সরকার। শনিবার কঙ্গোর গোমা শহরে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। বার্তা সংস্থা রয়টার্সের এক প্রতিবেদনে এমনটি বলা হয়। বার্তা সংস্থা রয়টার্সের তথ্যমতে, শনিবার সন্ধ্যার দিকে আগ্নেয়গিরি বিস্ফোরণের পর এই নির্দেশনা দেওয়া হয়। যদিও সরকারি আদেশের আগেই শহরটির বাসিন্দারা নিরাপদ আশ্রয়ে সরে যেতে শুরু করে। গোমা শহরের বিদ্যুৎ বিচ্ছিন্ন করেছে কর্তৃপক্ষ। বিস্ফোরণের কারণে বাতাসে সালফারের গন্ধ পাওয়া যাচ্ছে। তবে বিস্ফোরণ হলেও ভূমিকম্প হয়নি বলে জানা যায়। শহরটি থেকে ১০ কিলোমিটার দূরে অবস্থিত এই আগ্নেয়গিরিটিতে ২০০২ সালেও বিস্ফোরণ হয়, এতে আড়াইশ মানুষের মৃত্যু হয় ও ঘরবাড়ি হারায় এক লাখ ২০ হাজার মানুষ। এর আগে ১৯৭৭ সালের বিস্ফোরণে প্রায় ৬শ মানুষ নিহত হন।
