প্রকল্পের উদ্যোগে আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবস পালন উপলক্ষে র্যালী ও
আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। গতকাল ৮ মার্চ বিকাল ৩টায় ৬নং
কয়রা মুন্ডাপাড়ার কমিউনিটি সেন্টারে র্যালী শেষে কয়রা উপজেলা
এনসিটিএফের সভাপতি শিউলী মুন্ডার সভাপতিত্বে আলোচনা
সভায় প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন উপজেলা প্রানী সম্পদ অফিসার ডাঃ
মুস্তাইন বিল্যাহ। বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন পরিত্রানের নির্বাহী
পরিচালক মিলন দাস ও কয়রা উপজেলা শিশু সুরক্ষা কোয়ালিশনের
সভাপতি অধ্যাপক আ,ব,ম আঃ মালেক। পরিত্রানের উপজেলা প্রকল্প
কর্মকর্তা মোঃ আলাউদ্দিনের পরিচালনায় এতে বক্তব্য রাখেন
প্রেসক্লাবের সাধারণ সম্পাদক মোঃ রিয়াছাদ আলী, প্রথম
আলোর কয়রা প্রতিনিধি ইমতিয়জ উদ্দিন, উপজেলা মহিলা বিষয়ক
অফিসের শিশু বিষয়ক অফিসার মোঃ আবু সাঈদ, ইউপি সদস্য
মুর্শিদা আক্তার, আদিবাসী পরিষদের জেলা সাধারণ সম্পাদক
নিরাপদ মুন্ডা, নারী নেত্রী সাধনা মুন্ডা প্রমুখ। অনুষ।ঠানে বক্তরা
বলেন, এই দিনটি নারী জাগরণের এক ঐতিহাসিক মুহুর্ত। এই
দিনে নারীর প্রতি সকল ধরনের বৈষম্য নিরসনের জন্য নারীরা একমত
হয়ে ছিলো এবং রাজপথে আন্দোলনে নেমেছিলো। পুরুষ শাসিত
সমাজের ভ্রুকুটি নিরসন, নারীর কর্ম ঘন্টা নির্ধারণ, নারীর
স্বাধীনতা, নারীর নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করাই ছিলো এই আন্দোলনের
মূল লক্ষ্য। নারীর প্রজনন স্বাস্থ্য অধিকার, কিশোর-কিশোরী বয়সের
তাদের স্বাস্থ্য সচেতনতা তৈরি, নারীর প্রতি সকল ধরনের বৈষম্য
নিরসনের উদ্যোগ, বাল্য বিয়ে প্রতিরোধ এবং নারীর গৃহস্থালীর
কাজকে আর্থিক মুল্য নিশ্চিত করে জিডিপির আওতায় আনার
জন্য জোর দাবি জানান। আলোচনা শেষে বিভিন্ন প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণ কারী বিজয়ীদের মাঝে পুরস্কার বিতরণ করা হয়।
