গতকাল বুধবার ১২ই জুন বিকাল ৫.৩০ টায় সংগঠনের উদ্যোগে জাতীয় সংসদে উত্থাপিত গণবিরোধী বাজেটের প্রতিবাদে এক মিছিল কালীগঞ্জ বাসস্ট্যান্ড থেকে শুরু হয়ে শহরের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সড়ক প্রদক্ষিণ করে নলডাঙ্গা রোডস্থ থানা কার্যালয়ের সামনে শেষ হয়। মিছিল পরবর্তী পথসভায় বক্তব্য রাখেন জেলা সাধারণ সম্পাদক সাখাওয়াত হোসেন, যুগ্ম সম্পাদক মানবেন্দ্র দাস মিন্টু প্রমুখ।
বক্তারা বলেন আইএমএফ, বিশ্বব্যাংক তথা সা¤্রাজ্যবাদের পরামর্শে যে বাজেট করা হয়েছে তা লুটপাটের বাজেট। এই গণবিরোধী, শ্রমিক-কৃষক মারার বাজেট। জনগণ প্রত্যাখান করেছে। নেতৃবৃন্দ, শ্রমিক-কৃষক মেহনতি মানুষের জন্য গণমুখী বাজেট পেশ করতে সরকারের প্রতি আহবান জানান। অন্যথায় জনগণ এই বাজেট প্রত্যাখান করে আন্দোলনের মাধ্যমে তাদের দাবী আদায় করে নেবে।
