উপজেলা বিএনপি। বুধবার (১৫ জানুয়ারি) সকালে শহরের থানা রোডে দলীয় কার্যালয়ের সামনে আয়োজিত সংবর্ধনা অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন জাতীয়তাবাদী স্বেচ্ছাসেবক দলের সিনিয়র যুগ্ম সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও একাদশ সংসদ নির্বাচনে ঝিনাইদহ-৪ আসনের ধানের শীষের প্রার্থী সাইফুল ইসলাম ফিরোজ। কালীগঞ্জ উপজেলা বিএনপির আহব্বায়ক আলহাজ¦ মাহাবুবার রহমানের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন, উপজেলা বিএনপি’র যুগ্ন আহব্বায়ক ডাঃ নুরুল ইসলাম, সাইদুল ইসলাম, ইলয়াস রহমান মিঠু, পৌর বিএনপি’র সিনিয়র যুগ্ন আহবায়ক নজরুল ইসলাম তোতা, মোহাম্মদ আলী জিন্নাহ, আনোয়ার হোসেন. অহেদ লস্কর ও সাবেক ছাত্রনেতা লুৎফর রহমান লেন্টু। সংবর্ধনা অনুষ্ঠানে মোচিকের নব-নির্বাচিত শ্রমিক নেতৃবৃন্দ ও সাধারণ শ্রমিকদের উদ্দেশ্যে প্রধান অতিথি ফিরোজ বলেন, অত্র চিনিকল শিল্পটি আমাদের এলাকার সম্পদ। বিগত স্বৈরাচার হাসিনা সরকারের দোসররা এ মিলটিকে লুটেপুটে খেয়ে ধবংশের দ্বারপ্রান্তে নিয়েছিল। ওই দোসরদের বিচার হবে। এখন মিলটিকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখতে আপনাদেরকে সততার মাধ্যমে নেতৃত্ব দিতে হবে। শেষে প্রধান অতিথি মোচিকের নব-নির্বাচিত শ্রমিক প্রতিনিধিদের ফুল দিয়ে বরণ করে নেন।
