চট্টগ্রামের রেয়াজউদ্দিন বাজারে আগুনে ৩ জন নিহত
চট্টগ্রাম নগরের কোতোয়ালি থানার রেয়াজউদ্দিন বাজারের একটি মার্কেটে আগুন লাগার ঘটনা ঘটেছে। এতে তিনজন নিহত এবং একজন দগ্ধ হয়েছেন বলে জানিয়েছে ফায়ার সার্ভিস। তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে হতাহতদের নাম-পরিচয় জানা যায়নি।
বৃহস্পতিবার (২৭ জুন) দিনগত রাত দেড়টার দিকে বাজার এলাকার রিজওয়ান কমপ্লেক্সে অগ্নিকাণ্ড হয়।
ফায়ার সার্ভিসের নন্দনকানন স্টেশনের সিনিয়র স্টেশন অফিসার মোহাম্মদ আলী জানান, রাত দেড়টার দিকে মার্কেটের ব্রাদার্স টেলিকম নামের একটি দোকান থেকে আগুনের সূত্রপাত হয়। পরে আগুন আশপাশে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। খবর পেয়ে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের ৮টি ইউনিট আগুন নেভানোর কাজ শুরু করে। পরে ভোর সাড়ে ৫টার দিকে আগুন নেভানো সম্ভব হয়।
মোহাম্মদ আলী আরও জানান, বৈদ্যুতিক শর্ট সার্কিট থেকে এই আগুন লাগতে পারে বলে প্রাথমিকভাবে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে। মার্কেটে বাতাস চলাচলের সুযোগ না থাকায় আগুন নেভাতে সময় লেগেছে। আগুনে ক্ষয়ক্ষতির পরিমাণ বের করতে কাজ চলছে।
