চুয়াডাঙ্গায় শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য সপ্তাহে পাঁচ দিন বাসভাড়া অর্ধেক নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে পরিবহন– সংশ্লিষ্ট দুইটি সংগঠন। বুধবার (২৫ ডিসেম্বর) থেকে এ সিদ্ধান্ত কার্যকর হবে। মঙ্গলবার (২৪ ডিসেম্বর) বেলা ২ টার দিকে চুয়াডাঙ্গা জেলা বাস মিনিবাস মালিক গ্রæপের সাধারণ সম্পাদক হাজী মোহাম্মদ আবুল কালাম ও বৈষম্য বিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলন চুয়াডাঙ্গা জেলার মূখ্য সংগঠক সজীব বিশ্বাস এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেন। এ বিষয়ে একটি বিজ্ঞপ্তি দিয়েছে পরিবহন– সংশ্লিষ্ট দুইটি সংগঠন। তাতে বলা হয়েছে, চুয়াডাঙ্গার জেলার মধ্যে চলাচলরত সব লোকাল বাসে সকাল ৭টা-সন্ধ্যা ৬টা পর্যন্ত সব স্কুল, কলেজ ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীরা সরকার নির্ধারিত ভাড়ার অর্ধেক ভাড়ায় চলাচল করতে পারবেন। তবে এ সময় স্ব-স্ব শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের বৈধ পরিচয়পত্র দেখাতে হবে। স্কুল কলেজ –বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বন্ধ থাকাকালীন সিদ্ধান্ত কার্যকর হবে না। এতে আরও বলা হয়েছে, এ বিষয়ে কোনো অভিযোগ থাকলে শিক্ষার্থীরা বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলন চুয়াডাঙ্গা জেলা কমিটির সঙ্গে এবং বাস মালিক ও শ্রমিকেরা নিজ নিজ সমিতির সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করবেন। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে স্বাক্ষর করেছেন চুয়াডাঙ্গা জেলা বাস, মিনিবাস, কোচ মালিক গ্রæপের সাধারণ সম্পাদক হাজী আবুল কালাম। চুয়াডাঙ্গা সড়ক পরিবহন মালিক সমিতির সাধারণ সম্পাদক এ কে এম মইন উদ্দিন বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলন চুয়াডাঙ্গা জেলার আহŸায়ক মো. আসলাম হোসেন বলেন, দীর্ঘদিন থেকে শিক্ষার্থীদের পক্ষে থেকে এই দাবি তোলা হয়েছিল। অবশেষে কার্যকর হচ্ছে। সংশ্লিষ্ট সবার প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা জ্ঞাপন করছি। এটি শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য অর্থনৈতিকভাবে সহায়ক হবে এবং শিক্ষার প্রসারে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করবে। পাশাপাশি চুয়াডাঙ্গা সংস্করণের শিক্ষার্থী ও জনতার সহায়তা একান্ত কাম্য।
