ছাত্রলীগ নেতা সুদীপ্ত হত্যা : আ.লীগ নেতাসহ ২৪ জনের বিচার শুরু
চট্টগ্রামে ছাত্রলীগ নেতা সুদীপ্ত বিশ্বাস হত্যা মামলায় আওয়ামী লীগ নেতা দিদারুল আলম মাসুমসহ ২৪ জনের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ গঠন করে বিচার শুরুর আদেশ দিয়েছেন আদালত। এ মামলায় ৩০ অক্টোবর থেকে সাক্ষ্যগ্রহণের জন্য দিন ধার্য করেছেন আদালত।
সোমবার (১৭ জুলাই) চট্টগ্রামের দ্বিতীয় অতিরিক্ত মহানগর দায়রা জজ মোহাম্মদ আমিরুল ইসলামের আদালত এ আদেশ দিয়েছেন।
ঢাকা পোস্টকে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন রাষ্ট্রপক্ষে মহানগর পিপি বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা অ্যাডভোকেট মো. ফখরুদ্দিন চৌধুরী।
তিনি বলেন, সুদীপ্ত হত্যা মামলা আজ আদালতে অভিযোগ গঠনের জন্য দিন ধার্য ছিল। আদালতে হাজিরা দাখিল করে অভিযোগ গঠনের আবেদন করা হয় এবং রাষ্ট্রপক্ষে অভিযোগ গঠনের পক্ষে শুনানি করা হয়। আসামিরা নিজেদের নির্দোষ দাবি করে অব্যাহতি প্রার্থনা করেন। আদালত তা নামঞ্জুর করে ২৪ জন আসামির বিরুদ্ধেই দণ্ডবিধির ৩০২/৩৪ ধারায় চার্জ গঠন করেন।
অ্যাডভোকেট মো. ফখরুদ্দিন চৌধুরী বলেন, অভিযোগ গঠনের সময় ২৪ জন আসামির মধ্যে ২৩ জন আদালতে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। আবু জাহিদ সিদ্দিক নামে এক আসামি অনুপস্থিত ছিলেন। তার বিরুদ্ধে গ্রেপ্তারি পরোয়ানা জারি করেন আদালত।
রাষ্ট্রপক্ষে পিপিকে মামলা পরিচালনায় সহযোগিতা করেন অ্যাডভোকেট সাব্বির আহমেদ শাকিল, অ্যাডভোকেট সাহাব উদ্দিন।
২০১৭ সালের ৬ অক্টোবর সকালে দক্ষিণ নালাপাড়ার বাসা থেকে ডেকে নিয়ে পিটিয়ে খুন করা হয় নগর ছাত্রলীগের সহ সম্পাদক সুদীপ্ত বিশ্বাসকে। পরে আওয়ামী লীগ নেতা দিদারুল আলম মাসুমসহ ২৪ জনকে আসামি করে ২০২১ সালের ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি হত্যাকাণ্ডের অভিযোগে আদালতে অভিযোগপত্র জমা দেয় পুলিশ ব্যুরো অব ইনভেস্টিগেশন (পিবিআই)।
