ছেলেকে পানিতে ডুবিয়ে হত্যার পর পুলিশের কাছে বাবার আত্মসমর্পণ
নারায়ণগঞ্জের রূপগঞ্জে ৬ বছরের শিশু সন্তান জুলফিকার জিহাদকে পানিতে ডুবিয়ে হত্যা করে পুলিশ ফাঁড়িতে গিয়ে হত্যার দায় স্বীকার করেছে বাবা জুবায়ের হাসান। মঙ্গলবার (১০ ডিসেম্বর) রাতে ডোবা থেকে শিশুর মরদেহ ফায়ার সার্ভিসের সহায়তায় উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ। উপজেলার আমলাবো এলাকায় ঘটে এ ঘটনা।
জুবায়ের হাসানকে গ্রেপ্তার দেখিয়ে নারায়ণগঞ্জ আদালতে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে। জুবায়ের হাসান নরসিংদী সদর উপজেলার নাগরিয়াকান্দি গ্রামের হানিফ মিয়ার ছেলে। পুলিশ জানায়, ২০১৬ সালে জুবায়ের হাসানের সঙ্গে পারভীন আক্তারের বিয়ে হয়। বিয়ের পর থেকেই তাদের স্বামী-স্ত্রীর মধ্যে পারিবারিক কলহ চলছিল। গত অক্টোবরে পারিবারিক কলহের জেরে পারভীন আক্তার তার ছেলেকে জুবায়েরের কাছে রেখে বাবার বাড়ি চলে যায়। এরপর থেকেই বাবার আর ছেলে একসঙ্গে থাকে।
এদিকে গত ৯ ডিসেম্বর সকালে জুবায়ের হাসান চাকরির খোঁজে ছেলেকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে রূপগঞ্জের ভুলতা গাউছিয়া এলাকায় আসেন। সারাদিন খুঁজে সে কোনো কাজের সন্ধান পায়নি। ছেলে জুলফিকার জিহাদ মায়ের কাছে যাওয়ার জন্য কান্না করে । একপর্যায়ে ক্ষিপ্ত হয়ে জুবায়ের হাসান গোলাকান্দাইল-কাঞ্চন সড়কের আমলাবো মুন্সী ফিলিং স্টেশনের পাশে জলাশয়ের পানিতে ডুবিয়ে ছেলে জুলফিকার জিহাদকে হত্যা করে। পরে জুলফিকার জিহাদের মরদেহ কচুরিপানায় ঢেকে রেখে জুবায়ের হাসান আত্মগোপনে যায়। গত ১০ডিসেম্বর মঙ্গলবার জলাশয়ে এসে পিতা জুবায়ের হাসান ছেলের বিকৃত মরদেহ দেখে কান্নায় ভেঙ্গে পড়েন। তখন জুবায়ের হাসানের মধ্যে অনুশোচনা আসে এবং রাতে তিনি ভুলতা ফাঁড়ি পুলিশে আত্মসমর্পণ করেন।
রূপগঞ্জ থানা ওসি লিয়াকত আলী বলেন, এ ব্যাপারে রূপগঞ্জ থানায় মামলা রুজু করা হয়েছে। জুলফিকার জিহাদের মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য নারায়ণগঞ্জ মর্গে পাঠানো হয়েছে। পিতা জুবায়ের হাসানকে গ্রেপ্তার দেখিয়ে হাজতে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে।
