ঝিনাইদহের মহেশপুরে চাঞ্চল্যকর শাহাজান কবিরাজ হত্যার মোটিভ ও ক্লু উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ। হত্যাকান্ডের সঙ্গে জড়িত প্রধান আসামী রাজুকে মহেশপুরের খালিশপুর বাজার থেকে গ্রেফতারের পর এই হত্যার রহস্য উন্মোচিত হলো। মহেশপুর থানার ওসি মাহবুবুর রহমান কাজল শনিবার (৮ জুন) দুপুরে এ খবর নিশ্চিত করে। ওসি মাহবুবুর রহমান কাজল আরো জানান, স্ত্রী ধর্ষণের প্রতিশোধ নিতে শাহজাহান আলী কবিরাজকে গলা কেটে হত্যা করেন রাজু নামে এক যুবক। রাজু যশোরের চৌগাছা উপজেলার রাজাপুর গ্রামের জিয়ারুল ইসলামের ছেলে। এ ঘটনায় আসামী রাজু ঝিনাইদহ সিনিয়র জুড়িশিয়ান ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট রিয়াদ হাসানের আদালতে গত বৃহস্পতিবার স্বীকারোক্তিমুলক জবানবন্দিও দিয়েছেন। জবানবন্দিতে আসামী রাজু বলেন, “তিনি পেশায় একজন দিনমজুর। কবিরাজ হওয়ার সুবাদে শাহজাহান আলীকে তিনি দাদু বলে ডাকতেন। ভালো সম্পর্ক থাকায় মহেশপুরের বামনগাছার বেলেমাঠ গ্রামে শাহাজানের বাড়িতে নিয়মিত যাতায়াত ছিল তার। গত ৮ মে স্ত্রীকে নিয়ে শাহজাহান কবিরাজের বাড়িতে যায়। সেখানে ২/৩ দিন থাকার পর চলে আসতে চাইলে দাদু বলেন তোর দাদী তো অসুস্থ। তোর বউকে কয়েক দিনের জন্য রেখে যা। আমার রান্না বান্না করে খাওয়াবে। দাদুর কথা অনুযায়ী আমি স্ত্রী ও তিন বছরের বাচ্চাকে তার কাছে রেখে ঢাকায় চলে আসি”। ম্যাজিষ্ট্রেটের আদালতে আসামী রাজু আরো বলেন, “গত ১৫ মে রাত ১০ টার দিকে আমার স্ত্রীকে ফোন করি। কিন্তু সে ফোন রিসিভ করেননি। এরপর দাদু শাহজানকে ফোন করি। তিনিও ফোন রিসিভ করেননি। ঘটনার দিন রাত প্রায় ৩ টার দিকে স্ত্রীকে ফোন করলে তিনি ফোন রিসিভ করেই হাউমাউ করে কাঁদতে থাকেন। কি হয়েছে জিজ্ঞাসা করলে স্ত্রী জানায় দাদু তাকে জোরপূর্বক ধর্ষণ করেছে”। “পরেরদিন ১৬ মে স্ত্রী বাচ্চাকে নিয়ে গ্রামের বাড়িতে চলে আসেন। ঢাকা থেকে রাজু বাড়ি ফিরে মামলা করতে চাইলে স্ত্রী নিষেধ করে বলেন, মামলা করলে মান সম্মান যাবে। ২৮ মে (বুধবার) রাতে চাচাতো ভাই রাসেলকে সাথে নিয়ে রাজু দাদু শাহাজানের বাড়িতে হাজির হয় এবং রাতে খাওয়া দাওয়া শেষ করে রাত আড়াইটার দিকে দাদুর ঘরে থাকা ছুরি দিয়ে গলাকেটে হত্যা করে পালিয়ে আসি”। মহেশপুর থানার ওসি মাহবুবুর রহমান কাজল বলেন, তথ্য প্রযুক্তির সাহায্যে হত্যা মামলার প্রধান আসামী রাজুকে বুধবার সন্ধ্যার একটু আগে খালিশপুর বাসস্ট্যান্ড থেকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়। এ সময় তিনি ঢাকায় পালিয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন। আটক করা হয়। বৃহস্পতিবার (৬ মে) দুপুরে সিনিয়র জুড়িশিয়াল ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট রিয়াদ হাসানের আদালতে স্বীকারোক্তিমুলক জবানবন্দিতে আসামী রাজু শাহাজাহান ফকিরকে গলা কেটে হত্যার ঘটনা স্বীকার করে। উল্লেখ্য গত ২৮ মে গভীর রাতে মহেশপুর উপজেলার মান্দারবাড়ীয়া ইউনিয়নের বামনগাছার বেলেমাঠ পাড়ার শাহজাহান আলী কবিরাজকে (৬৫) নিজ বাড়ীতে গলাকেটে হত্যা করা হয়। এ ঘটনায় নিহত’র মেয়ে রাফিজা খাতুন বাদি হয়ে মহেশপুর থানায় একটি হত্যা মামলা দায়ের করেন।
