ঝিনাইদহে “স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ বিনির্মাণে কারিগরি ও বৃত্তিমূলক শিক্ষার গুরুত্ব ও করণীয়” শীর্ষক সেমিনার অনুুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। কারিগরি ও বৃত্তিমূলক শিক্ষা সপ্তাহ-২৪ পালন উপলক্ষে ঝিনাইদহ সরকারী পলিটেকনিক ইন্সটিটিউট কারিগরি শিক্ষা অধিদপ্তর, কারিগরি ও মাদরাসা শিক্ষা বিভাগ, শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের নির্দেশনায় এই সেমিনারের আয়োজন করে। মঙ্গলবার (৩০ এপ্রিল) সকাল ৯ টায় পলিটেকনিক ইন্সটিটিউট মিলনায়তনে প্রতিষ্ঠানটির অধ্যক্ষ প্রেকৌশলী মোঃ সাজেদ-উর-রহমানের সভাপতিত্বে সেমিনারের মূল প্রবন্ধ ডিজিটাল কনটেন্টের মাধ্যমে উপস্থাপন করেন যশোর বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ^বিদ্যালয়ের এনভায়রনমেন্টাল সায়েন্স এন্ড টেকনোলজি বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ড.মৌমিতা চৌধুরী। পলিটেকনিকেলের ভাইস প্রিন্সিপাল মাহবুবুল ইসলামের উপস্থাপনায় স্বাগত বক্তব্য রাখেন চিফ ইন্সট্রাকটর মোঃ সোহরাব হোসেন। আলোচনায় অংশ গ্রহন করেন ঝিনাইদহ ডায়াবেটিক সমিতির সভাপতি নাসির উদ্দীন, জোহান এগ্রো ফুডের চেয়ারম্যান মোয়াজ্জেম হোসেন, ঝিনাইদহ গণপূর্ত বিভাগের নির্বাহী প্রকৌশলী জেড়াল্ড অলিভার গুডা, ঝিনাইদহ টেকনিক্যাল স্কুল এন্ড কলেজের অধ্যক্ষ ড. মোঃ আনিসুর রহমান মৃধা, সাবেক অধ্যক্ষ আমিনুর রহমান টুকু, ঝিনাইদহ জেলা রিপোর্টার্স ইউনিটির সভাপতি এম এ কবীর এবং বিসিক ঝিনাইদহের ডেপুটি ডাইরেক্টর সেলিনা রহমান। সেমিনারে জেলার বিভিন্ন সরকারী-বেসরকারী প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রধান, স্কুল এবং টেকনিক্যাল স্কুলের প্রধান শিক্ষক, অধ্যক্ষ, শিল্প প্রতিষ্ঠানের মালিক, পরিচালক এবং শিল্প উদ্যোক্তারা অংশ গ্রহন করেন। বক্তাগণ কারিগরি শিক্ষার গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরে বলেন, আগে বলা হতো নলেজ ইজ পাওয়ার কিন্তু এখন বলা হয় স্কিল ইজ পাওয়ার। সে কারনে কারিগরি শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত কেউ বেকার থাকে না। সাধারণ মানুষ যাতে তাদের সন্তানদের কারিগরি শিক্ষায় ভর্তি করেন সে জন্য তাদের উদ্বুদ্ধ করতে হবে সেই সাথে আমাদের সামাজিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গিও পাল্টাতে হবে। বক্তাগন বলেন দেশে ভয়াবহভাবে শিক্ষিত বেকার তৈরী হচ্ছে অথচ বাংলাদেশ থেকে দক্ষ বিদেশীরা চাকরী করে বছরে ৫০ হাজার কোটি টাকা নিয়ে যাচ্ছে। তারা বলেন শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা শিক্ষার বদলে দলাদলিতে জড়িয়ে যাচ্ছে ফলে প্রতিষ্ঠান থেকে ইনপুট ভাল দিলেও আউটপুট ভাল পাওয়া যাচ্ছে না।
