ঝিনাইদহে ফসলী জমির পাশে গড়ে ওঠা অবৈধ ইটভাটা উচ্ছেদের দাবিতে মানববন্ধন কর্মসূচী পালিত হয়েছে। বুধবার সকালে সদর উপজেলার উত্তর কাস্টসাগরা গ্রামে এ কর্মসূচীর আয়োজন করে গ্রামবাসী। এতে ব্যানার ফেস্টুন নিয়ে ওই গ্রামের ৩ শতাধিক নারী, পুরুষ, বৃদ্ধ ও শিশুরা অংশ নেয়। এসময় বক্তব্য রাখেন ওই গ্রামের ইউপি সদস্য মিজানুর রহমান মিজু, আব্দুস সাত্তার শেখ, ইনছার মালিথা, সাইফুল ইসলাম, আশরাফুল ইসলাম, মনিরুল ইসলাম ও আলামিন। এসময় বক্তারা অভিযোগ করে বলেন, উত্তর কাস্টসাগরা গ্রামের মহাসড়ক ও এলজিইডির সড়কের পাশে অবৈধভাবে ফাইভ স্টার নামের ইটভাটা স্থাপন করা হয়েছে। যে কারণে পাশের জমির ফসল নষ্ট হচ্ছে। দুষণ হচ্ছে পরিবেশ। ইটভাটা মালিক জাহাঙ্গীর আলম মুছা ভাটার পাশের রাস্তা দখল করেছে। গ্রামের শত শত কৃষক ওই রাস্তা দিয়ে মাঠে চাষাবাদ করতে যেত। কোন কারণে কৃষকের তার ইটভাটার উপর গেলে মারধর করে। সম্প্রতি ২ কৃষককে পিটিয়ে ও কুপিয়ে মারাত্বক যখম করেছে মুছা ও তার ভাটার শ্রমিকরা। বক্তারা, দ্রুত ইটভাটা অন্যত্র সরিয়ে নেওয়ার দাবি জানান। এ দাবি মানা না হলে কঠোর কর্মসূচীর হুশিয়ারি প্রদাণ করেন তারা। এ ব্যাপারে ইটভাটা মালিক জাহাঙ্গীর আলম মুছা জানান, ঘটনার দিন উত্তর কাস্টসাগরা গ্রামের কবির ও তার ভাই সাইফুল পরিকল্পিত ভাবে আমার মাথায় লাঠি দিয়ে আঘাত করে। পরে আমার ইট ভাটার শ্রমিক ও ভাইয়েরা ঠেকাতে গিয়ে কবির ও তার ভাই সামান্য আহত হয়। তিনি বলেন ইট ভাটার মধ্য দিয়ে তাদের রাস্তা দিতে হবে। আমার লীজ নেওয়া জমির উপর দিয়ে আমি কেন রাস্তা দেব। তাছাড়া ভাটার এক পাশ দিয়ে তো রাস্তা আগেই দিয়েছি। কিন্তু তারা ইট ভাটার সব দিক থেকে রাস্তা নিতে চাই। এ নিয়ে একটি মহল মানববন্ধন ও নানা অপতৎপরতা চালাচ্ছে।
