ঝিনাইদহের কালীগঞ্জ উপজেলার তত্তি¡পুর গ্রামের নিউমডার্ন ইটভাটায় বিদ্যুৎস্পৃষ্টে সাদিয়া খাতুন নামে ৮ বছরের এক শিশুর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। বুধবার (১০ জানুয়ারী) সকাল সাড়ে ১১ টার দিকে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত শিশু সাদিয়া সাতক্ষীরা জেলার তালা উপজেলার শালিখা গ্রামের জিল্লুর রহমানের ছেলে। শিশুটির বাবা উপজেলার তত্তি¡পুর এলাকার নিউমডার্ন ইটভাটায় শ্রমিকের কাজ করতো। স্থানীয়রা জানায়, বুধবার (১০ জানুয়ারী) সকালে শিশু সাদিয়া ইটভাটার পাশে খেলা করছিল। এ সময় বসতবাড়ির পাশ দিয়ে যাওয়া বৈদ্যুতিক তারে জড়িয়ে মাটিতে লুটিয়ে পড়ে। পরে স্থানীয়রা তাকে উদ্ধার করে নিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় সে মারা যায়। তত্তি¡পুর পুলিশ ফাঁড়ির ইনচার্জ সম্রাট হোসেন বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে জানান, খবর শুনে ঘটনাস্থলে পুলিশ পাঠানো হয়েছে।
