তীব্র শীতে একটু উষ্ণতা দিতে ঝিনাইদহে লেডিস ক্লাবের উদ্যোগে অসহায় ও দুস্থদের মাঝে কম্বল বিতরণ করা হয়েছে। সোমবার বিকেলে শহরের পুরাতন ডিসি কোর্ট চত্বরে এ শীতবস্ত্র বিতরণ করা হয়। এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন লেডিস ক্লাবের সভাপতি জেলা প্রশাসক পত্নী রাফিজা সুলতানা আন্না, অতিরিক্ত জেলা ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট ও সংগঠনের সহ-সভাপতি সালমা সেলিম, এনডিসি ও সাধারন সম্পাদক রাজিয়া সুলতানা, সদস্য মার্জিয়া মোর্শেদ বিনতী, সেলিনা রহমান, ইশরাত জাহান, উম্মে হাবিবা, হোসনে আরা প্রমুখ। সেসময় সদর উপজেলার বিভিন্ন গ্রামের ৪’শ অসহায় দরিদ্র মানুষের মাঝে কম্বল বিতরণ করা হয়। শীতে কম্বল পেয়ে খুশি অসহায় পরিবারগুলো।
