ঝিনাইদহে স্থায়ী ও দীর্ঘমেয়াদী পরিবার পরিকল্পনা পদ্ধতির বিশেষ সেবা সপ্তাহের উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে। পরিবার পরিকল্পনা বিভাগের আয়োজনে শনিবার (১৮ জানুয়ারি) সকালে ঝিনাইদহ মা ও শিশু কল্যাণ কেন্দ্রে বেলুন উড়িয়ে ও ফিতা কেটে এ সপ্তাহের উদ্বোধন করা হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে জেলা প্রশাসক মোহাম্মদ আব্দুল আওয়াল, পরিবার পরিকল্পনা অধিদপ্তরের উপ-পরিচালক (উপকরণ ও সরবরাহ) আবু তাহের সানাউল্লাহ নুরী, সদর উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা রাজিয়া আক্তার চৌধুরী, জেলা পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কার্যালয়ের উপ-পরিচালক মোহা: মোজাম্মেল করিম, সহকারী পরিচালক (ক্লিনিক্যাল কন্ট্রাসেপশন) ডা: প্রবীর কুমার মন্ডল, সহকারী পরিচালক ওয়ালিয়ুর রহমান, ঝিনাইদহ মা ও শিশু কল্যাণ কেন্দ্রের মেডিকেল অফিসার (ক্লিনিক) ডা: মাহবুবা আখতার তাবীয়া, কোটচাঁদপুরের মেডিকেল অফিসার (এমসিএইচ-এফপি) ডা: সাদমান ফাহিম, সদর উপজেলার (এমসিএইচ-এফপি) ডা: তানিয়া আক্তার তৃপ্তি, সদর উপজেলা পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা ফেরদৌস আলমসহ অন্যান্যরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। শনিবার থেকে শুরু হওয়া এ সেবা সপ্তাহ চলবে আগামী ২৩ জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত। সপ্তাহব্যাপী জেলার বিভিন্ন এলাকার প্রসুতি প্রসুতিত্তোর মা, শিশুদের স্বাস্থ্য সেবা নিশ্চিতসহ সকল প্রকার সেবা প্রদান ও সেবা সম্পর্কে অবহিত করা হবে।
