র্যাব ফোর্সেস আমাদের প্রিয় মাতৃভূমির অপ্রতিরোধ্য উন্নয়ন অগ্রযাত্রাকে ত্বরান্বিত করতে এবং সন্মানিত নাগরিকদের জন্য টেকসই নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে আইনের আলোকে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করে যাচ্ছে। এছাড়াও দেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলে দীর্ঘদিন যাবত পালিয়ে থাকা বিভিন্ন মেয়াদে সাজাপ্রাপ্ত ও ওয়ারেন্টভূক্ত আসামীদের গ্রেফতার এবং অস্ত্রধারী সন্ত্রাসী, মাদক কারবারি ও বিবিধ প্রতারক চক্রের সাথে সংঘটিত চাঞ্চল্যকর অপরাধে জড়িত অপরাধীদের আইনের আওতায় এনে র্যাব জনগনের সুনাম, বিশ্বাস ও আস্থা অর্জন করতে সক্ষম হয়েছে।
ভিকটিম একজন ১৪ বছর বয়সী একজন কিশোরী। ধৃত আসামী এবং ভিকটিম একই এলাকার প্রতিবেশী সেই সুবাদে ভিকটিমকে পূর্ব হতেই প্রেমের প্রস্তাবসহ বিভিন্ন জিনিসের প্রলোভন দেখিয়ে আসছিলো। আসামী একজন বিবাহিত হওয়ায় ভিকটিম তাহার প্রস্তাবে রাজী হয়নি। ফলোশ্রæতিতে গত ১১ ফেব্রæয়ারি ২০২৪ইং তারিখে রাত আনুমানিক ২১.৩০ ঘটিকার দিকে ভিকটিম পিকনিকে যাওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে ঘর হতে
বের হলে পূর্ব পরিকল্পনা মোতাবেক ধৃত আসামীসহ তার দুই বন্ধু সহযোগী আসামীদ্বয়সহ ভিকটিমকে জোর পূর্বক তার বান্ধবীর বাড়ীর পাশে হায়দার আলীর আম বাগানে নিয়ে ধ্বস্তাধ্বস্তির এক পর্যায়ে আসেপাশের লোকজনের উপস্থিতিটের পেয়ে ভিকটিমকে হুমকি দিয়ে ধৃত আসামী ঘটনাস্থল ত্যাগ করে। ভিকটিম বিষয়টি তার পরিবারকে অবহিত করলে ভিকটিমের পিতা বাদী হয়ে গত ১৫ ফেব্রæয়ারি ২০২৪ ইং তারিখে ঝিনাইদহের সদর থানায় একটি ধর্ষণ চেষ্টা মামলা দায়ের করে। র্যাব-৬ এর আভিযানিক দল বিষয়টি জানতে পেরে ছায়া তদন্ত শুরু করে এবং প্রধান ধর্ষন চেষ্টাকারীসহ সহযোগী আসামীদের গ্রেফতারের লক্ষ্যে অভিযান অব্যাহত রাখে।
গত ১৭ ফেব্রæয়ারি ২০২৪ তারিখ র্যাব-৬, ঝিনাইদহ ক্যাম্পের একটি চৌকস আভিযানিক দল গোপন সংবাদের মাধ্যমে জানতে পারে যে,
উক্ত ধর্ষণ চেষ্টা মামলার প্রধান পলাতক আসামী ঝিনাইদহ জেলার সদর থানাধীন আড়ুয়াডাঙ্গা এলাকায় আত্মগোপন করে আছে। প্রাপ্ত সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের উদ্দেশ্যে আভিযানিক দলটি একই তারিখ রাত অনুমান ০০.৩০ ঘটিকার সময় ঝিনাইদহ জেলার সদর থানাধীন আড়ুয়াডাঙ্গা এলাকায় একটি বিশেষ অভিযান পরিচালনা করে উক্ত ধর্ষণ চেষ্টা মামলার প্রধান পলাতক আসামী- মিরাজ হোসেন (২৭), পিতাঃ আনসার মোল্লা, সাং- আড়ুয়াডাঙ্গা, থানা-সদর, জেলা-ঝিনাইদহকে গ্রেফতার করে। গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামীকে প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে উক্ত ঘটনার সাথে তার সম্পৃক্ততার কথা স্বীকার করে। গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামীকে ঝিনাইদহ জেলার সদর থানায় হস্থান্তর করা হয়।
