ঝিনাইদহ-৪ আসনের সংসদ সদস্য আনোয়ারুল আজীম আনার হত্যার ঘটনায় জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের জন্য আটক জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক সাইদুল করিম মিন্টুর মুক্তির দাবীতে বিক্ষোভ মিছিল ও মানববন্ধন কর্মসূচী পালিত হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার (১৩ জুন) সকালে শহরের পোস্ট অফিস মোড়ে জেলা দোকান মালিক সমিতি ও চেম্বার অব কর্মাস এবং পরিবেশক সমিতির পক্ষ থেকে এ কর্মসূচীর আয়োজন করা হয়। এতে ব্যানার ফেস্টুন নিয়ে ব্যবসায়ী, রাজনৈতিক নেতৃবৃন্দসহ নানা শ্রেণী পেশার মানুষ অংশ নেয়। সেসময় বক্তারা বলেন, এমপি আনার হত্যার ঘটনাকে ভিন্ন খাতে প্রভাবিত করার চেষ্টা করা হচ্ছে। সেখানে জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক সাইদুল করিম মিন্টুকে ফাঁসানোর চেষ্টা করা হচ্ছে। মিন্টুকে নির্দোষ দাবী করে তার দ্রæত মুক্তির দাবী জানানো হয় এ কর্মসূচী থেকে। পরে সেখান থেকে একটি বিক্ষোভ মিছিল বের করা হয়। মিছিলটি শহরের বিভিন্ন সড়ক প্রদক্ষিণ করে জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের কার্যালয় চত্বরে গিয়ে শেষ হয়।
