দ্রব্যমূল্য নিয়ন্ত্রণে জোরালো ভূমিকা নিতে সচিবদের নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা। এছাড়া তিনি পরিবহন চাঁদাবাজদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার নির্দেশ দেন।

সোমবার (৫ জানুয়ারি) প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কার্যালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত সচিব সভায় তিনি এ নির্দেশনা দেন। সভা শেষে সচিবালয়ে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব মো. মাহবুব হোসেন সাংবাদিকদের প্রধানমন্ত্রীর এ নির্দেশনার কথা জানান।

মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব বলেন, প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা আজকের সভায় আওয়ামী লীগের নির্বাচনী ইশতেহার বাস্তবায়নের নির্দেশনার পাশাপাশি দ্রব্যমূল্য নিয়ন্ত্রণে করণীয় ও দিকনির্দেশনা দিয়েছেন। উনি (প্রধানমন্ত্রী) আইনশৃঙ্খলা রক্ষা ও বাজারমূল্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ করার ক্ষেত্রে নজরদারি করতে বলেছেন। নজরদারি করার ক্ষেত্রে সুনির্দিষ্ট একটি ক্ষেত্রের কথাও তিনি বলেছেন। অনেক সময় দ্রব্যমূল্যের জন্য বিভিন্ন সময় বিভিন্ন পর্যায়ে চাঁদাবাজির প্রসঙ্গ আসে। এক্ষেত্রে তিনি সংশ্লিষ্ট সবাইকে খুবই শক্তভাবে ব্যবস্থা নিতে বলেছেন। এটি যাতে কোথাও না হয়।

এছাড়া নতুন প্রকল্প নেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে সচিবদেরকে খুবই সতর্ক হতে বলেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা। এ বিষয়ে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব বলেন, নতুন প্রকল্প নেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে খুবই সতর্ক হতে বলেছেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেছেন- তার মূল লক্ষ্য হলো জনমানুষের অবস্থানের উন্নয়ন। কাজেই প্রকল্প থেকে জনমানুষের উন্নয়ন হয়েছে কি না, সেটা তিনি জানতে চাইবেন। কাজেই নতুন প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নের ক্ষেত্রে সেই বিষয়টি দেখতে বলেছেন।

তিনি বলেন, আজকের সভায় সব সচিব উপস্থিত ছিলেন। সচিব পদমর্যাদায় অন্য দপ্তরের যারা দায়িত্বে ছিলেন, তারাও উপস্থিত ছিলেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে যে সচিব সভা হয়, সেটা নির্দিষ্ট কোনো বিষয় নিয়ে হয় না। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কাছ থেকে আমরা প্রত্যাশার কথা ও তার নির্দেশনা আমরা শুনতে চেয়েছি। প্রধানমন্ত্রী আমাদের সুস্পষ্টভাবে বলেছেন- দায়িত্ব পালনে আত্মপ্রত্যয়, আত্মবিশ্বাস ও আত্মসম্মান বজায় রেখে নিজ নিজ দায়িত্ব পালন করতে বলেছেন।

সচিব সভার আলোচ্য বিষয় নিয়ে মাহবুব হোসেন বলেন, নির্বাচনী ইশতেহার, দ্রব্যমূল্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ, রমজানের প্রস্তুতি, খাদ্য নিরাপত্তা পরিস্থিতি, কৃষি উৎপাদন ও সার ব্যবস্থাপনা, কর্মমুখী শিক্ষা, নতুন পাঠ্যক্রম ও কর্মমুখী শিক্ষা, বিদ্যুৎ ও জ্বালানি নিরাপত্তা, উন্নয়ন প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন, আইনশৃঙ্খলা ব্যবস্থাপনা, মুদ্রাস্ফীতি নিয়ে আমরা আলোচনা করেছি।
