টি-টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপ শুরুর আগে থেকেই ভারত-পাকিস্তান মহারণ নিয়ে কথার লড়াই চলতে থাকে দেশ দুটির সাবেক ক্রিকেটারদের মধ্যে। বিশেষ করে ভারতীয়রা তাদের জয়ের ব্যাপারে শতভাগ আশাবাদি ছিল। কারণটা অবশ্যই বিশ্বকাপে উভয় দলের অতীতের লড়াই। তবে এখন বাস্তবতা হলো- ভারতকে ১০ উইকেটের লজ্জা দিয়ে রীতিমতো ছেলেখেলা করেছে বাবর আজম-শাহিন আফ্রিদিরা।
সেটি মেনে নিয়েই হয়তো পাকিস্তানের প্রশংসা করছেন ভারতের সাবেক ক্রিকেটাররা। প্রথমবারের মতো বিশ্বকাপের মঞ্চে ভারতের বিপক্ষে জয় তুলে নিয়েছে পাকিস্তান।
এক টুইট বার্তায় ভিভিএস লক্ষ্মণ বলেন, ‘ভারতের বিপক্ষে বিশ্বকাপে কুফা (পরাজয়ের লজ্জার রেকর্ড ভাঙা) দূর করার কী দারুণ জয়! পাকিস্তানের জয়ের ভিত শুরুতেই গড়ে দেন শাহীন আফ্রিদি। পরে ওপেনাররা আর কিছুই বাকি রাখেননি। বাবর আজম ও মোহাম্মদ রিজওয়ান চমৎকার ব্যাটিং করেছে। বাবর আজম বিশেষ প্রতিভা। ভারতের সামনে অনেক কাজ বাকি। তবে ঘুরে দাঁড়ানোর সামর্থ্য আমাদের আছে।পাকিস্তানকে নিয়ে প্রায় সময়ই সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে খোঁচা দিয়ে থাকেন বীরেন্দর শেবাগ। সেই তিনিও এবার প্রতিবেশি দেশটির প্রশংসা করলেন। টুইটে বলেন, ‘পাকিস্তান ভালো খেলেছে। এভাবে জয় এবং লক্ষ্যে পৌঁছানো সত্যিই সাধারণ। আমি নিশ্চিত ভারতীয় দল আরও শক্তিশালী হয়ে ঘুরে দাঁড়াবে।’
ইরফান পাঠান বলেন, ‘আজ হৃদয় ভেঙে গেল। আমাদের প্রতিবেশিরা ভালো খেলেছে। আমার বিশ্বাস, ভারত ঘুরে দাঁড়াবে।’
হরভজন বলেন, ‘দিনটি ভারতের ছিল না। আমি নিশ্চিত, তারা এই ভুল থেকে শিখবে এবং ঘুরে দাঁড়াবে। তবে দুর্দান্ত জয়ের জন্য পাকিস্তানের প্রশংসায় করতেই হবে। আজ তারাই ভালো দল।
মোহাম্মদ আজহারউদ্দিন বলেন, ‘যারা যোগ্য তাদের কৃতিত্ব দিতেই হবে এবং পাকিস্তান আজ ভালো খেলেছে। এটি তাদের দলগত প্রচেষ্টা। ভারত কিছুই হারায়নি। এখনো সময় আছে ভুল থেকে শিক্ষা নেওয়ার এবং ঘুরে দাঁড়ানোর।
