‘প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা আগামী প্রজন্মের জন্য কাজ করে চলছেন’
পানি সম্পদ উপমন্ত্রী ও আওয়ামী লীগের সাবেক সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক একেএম এনামুল হক শামীম বলেছেন, বঙ্গবন্ধু কন্যা প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা আগামী প্রজন্মের জন্য কাজ করে চলছেন। তিনি দেশের পরিবেশের ভারসাম্য বজার রাখার জন্য দেশব্যাপী বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচির উদ্যোগ নিয়েছেন। যাতে করে আগামী বছর পরেও বাংলাদেশ একটি সবুজ বাসযোগ্য দেশ হিসেবে টিকে থাকতে পারে। তাই বঙ্গবন্ধুর স্বপ্নের সোনার বাংলা ও জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনার ভিশন বাস্তবায়নে যুব সমাজকে অগ্রণী ভূমিকা রাখতে হবে।
রবিবার সকালে শরীয়তপুরের নড়িয়া উপজেলা যুবলীগ আয়োজিত বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচির উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে যুক্ত হয়ে প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে এসব কথা বলেন।
তিনি বলেন, ‘বঙ্গবন্ধুর আদর্শে অনুপ্রাণিত দেশপ্রেমী যুবরাই বাংলার সংশয়-সংকটে ছিনিয়ে এনেছে উজ্জ্বল আলোর দিশা। ১৯৭১ সালে মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণকারীদের বড় অংশ ছিল তরুণ-যুবসমাজ। এজন্য যুবলীগের প্রতিটি নেতা-কর্মীকে অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করতে হবে। তাই বঙ্গবন্ধুর ত্যাগ ও আদর্শের নীতি ধারণ করে সততা, নিষ্ঠা ও নীতি নিয়ে নতুন প্রজন্মকে গড়ে তুলতে হবে। যুবলীগের দীর্ঘ ঐতিহ্য ও গৌরব ধারণ করে সততা ও আদর্শ নিয়ে প্রজন্মের পর প্রজন্ম গড়ে তুলতে হবে।’
তিনি আরও বলেন, দেশের যে কোনো ক্রান্তিলগ্নে যুবলীগ অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করেছে। যুবলীগের যে ঐতিহ্য ও অবদান রয়েছে, সেটা প্রতিটি যুবলীগের নেতা-কর্মীর মনে রাখতে হবে। যুবলীগের প্রতিটি নেতা-কর্মীকে এমনভাবে আচরণ করা উচিত যাতে এ সংগঠন একটা মর্যাদাপূর্ণ হয় এবং দেশ ও জাতির কাছে আস্থা অর্জন করে চলতে পারে। কারণ জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনা বিশ্বাস করেন-যুব সমাজ আমাদের ভবিষ্যৎ।’নড়িয়া উপজেলা যুবলীগের আহ্বায়ক নাসির সরদারের সভাপতিত্বে ও পৌরসভা ছাত্রলীগের সাবেক সভাপতি ইউনুস শেখের সঞ্চালনায় উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখেন, নড়িয়া পৌরসভার মেয়র আবুল কালাম আজাদ, যুবলীগ নেতা সাহাবুদ্দিন আহমেদ সানি, মোতালেব হোসেন, আবুল কাশেম ও সোহেল সরদার প্রমুখ।
