ফিলিস্তিনিদের সহায়তায় ৫০০ মিলিয়ন ডলার দিচ্ছে কাতার
ইসরায়েলি দখলদার বাহিনীর হামলায় বিধ্বস্ত গাজা উপত্যকা পুনর্গঠনে ৫০০ মিলিয়ন (৫০ কোটি) ডলার দেয়ার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছে কাতার। গত বুধবার দেশটির পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ফিলিস্তিনিদের জন্য এই অর্থসাহায্য ঘোষণা করেছেন। এক টুইটে কাতারি পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী মোহাম্মদ বিন আবদুল রহমান আল থানি বলেছেন, আমরা ফিলিস্তিনে আমাদের ভাইদের জন্য স্বাধীন রাষ্ট্র প্রতিষ্ঠার মাধ্যমে ন্যায়বিচার ও স্থায়ী সমাধানে পৌঁছানোর ক্ষেত্রে সমর্থন অব্যাহত রাখব। ফিলিস্তিনি প্রতিরোধ গোষ্ঠী হামাস ও দখলদার ইসরায়েলের মধ্যে যুদ্ধবিরতিতে বেশ কয়েক বার মধ্যস্থতা করেছে কাতার। ফিলিস্তিনিদের জন্য মানবিক ও উন্নয়নমূলক সহায়তা হিসেবে ইতোমধ্যে শত শত কোটি ডলার দিয়েছে মুসলিম দেশটি। কাতারের রাষ্ট্রীয় বার্তা সংস্থা কিউএনএ বলেছে, গাজায় ইসরায়েলের সাম্প্রতিক হামলার ফলে সৃষ্ট চ্যালেঞ্জ মোকাবিলা এবং বিধ্বস্ত বাড়িঘরসহ বিভিন্ন পরিষেবা পুনর্নির্মাণে এই অর্থ সাহায্য দেয়া হচ্ছে। গত ৭ মে পবিত্র মাহে রমজানের শেষ শুক্রবার বিপুল সংখ্যক ফিলিস্তিনি মুসল্লি আল-আকসা মসজিদে সমবেত হলে ইসরায়েলি বাহিনী তাদের ওপর হামলা চালায়। মসজিদে ঢুকে মুসল্লিদের লক্ষ্য করে রাবার বুলেট ও টিয়ারশেল নিক্ষেপ করে বর্বর ইসরায়েলিরা। এর দুদিন পরে পবিত্র শবে কদরেও আল-আকসা মসজিদে ইসরায়েলি বাহিনীর সঙ্গে মুসল্লিদের সংঘর্ষ হয়। এর প্রতিবাদে গাজা সীমান্তে বিক্ষোভ শুরু হয়। গত ১০ মে থেকে অবরুদ্ধ উপত্যকায় ফিলিস্তিনিদের ওপর বিমান হামলা শুরু করে ইসরায়েল। ফিলিস্তিনি যোদ্ধারাও রকেট ও ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র নিক্ষেপ করে কঠোর প্রতিরোধ গড়ে তোলে। তীব্র প্রতিরোধের মুখে অবশেষে গত ২০ মে যুদ্ধবিরতি মানতে বাধ্য হয় দখলদার ইসরায়েল। এতে মধ্যস্থতা করেছে মিসর। টানা ১১ দিনের এই সহিংসতায় ইসরায়েলের হামলায় ফিলিস্তিনে অন্তত ২৫৪ জন প্রাণ হারিয়েছেন, এদের মধ্যে ৬৬ শিশুও রয়েছে। আহত হয়েছেন প্রায় দুই হাজার বেসামরিক মানুষ। আর ফিলিস্তিনিদের পাল্টা হামলায় ইসরায়েলে মারা গেছেন ১২ জন। ধ্বংসযজ্ঞ ও প্রাণহানি হিসাব করলে ফিলিস্তিনিদের ক্ষয়ক্ষতি কয়েকগুণ বেশি হলেও পশ্চিমা মদদপুষ্ট ইসরায়েলি বাহিনীকে যুদ্ধবিরতিতে বাধ্য করা হামাসের জন্য বিজয়ের সামিল বলে মনে করছেন বিশ্লেষকরা। এর আগে, গত সপ্তাহে গাজায় ফিলিস্তিনিদের জন্য ৫০ কোটি ডলার অর্থসাহায্য দেয়ার ঘোষণা দিয়েছে মিসর।
