বাংলাদেশ বিক্রি করে ক্ষমতায় আসতে হবে, এমন রাজনীতি করি না: শেখ হাসিনা
প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি শেখ হাসিনা বলেছেন, বাংলাদেশ বিক্রি করে ক্ষমতায় আসতে হবে বা দেশের সম্পদ বিক্রি করে ক্ষমতায় আসতে হবে, এমন রাজনীতি করি না।
শনিবার (২৩ ডিসেম্বর) বিকেল ৩টায় রাজধানীর তেজগাঁওয়ে ঢাকা জেলা আওয়ামী লীগ ভবন থেকে ছয় জেলার নির্বাচনি জনসভায় ভার্চুয়াল বক্তব্যে তিনি এ কথা বলেন।
শেখ হাসিনা বলেন, আমি বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবের মেয়ে। এদেশকে ভালোবাসি, এদেশের মানুষকে ভালোবাসি। এদেশের মানুষের জন্যই আমার সংগ্রাম।
নির্বাচনে না এসে আবারও অগ্নিসন্ত্রাস শুরু করেছে বিএনপি, এমন দাবি করে আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি বলেন, তারা নির্বাচন ঠেকানোর নামে ২০১৩-১৪ সালের মতো আবারও অগ্নিসন্ত্রাস শুরু করেছে। তারা আবারও ভয়ংকর রূপ নিয়ে নেমেছে। রেলে আগুন দিয়ে মানুষ পুড়িয়ে হত্যা করেছে।
বিএনপির নেতা কে এমন প্রশ্ন তুলে তিনি বলেন, তাদের দুই নেতাই তো সাজাপ্রাপ্ত। দুর্নীতি ও এতিমের টাকা আত্মসাৎ করে খালেদা জিয়া আজ সাজাপ্রাপ্ত। আর তার ছেলে তারেক রহমান হাওয়া ভবন খুলে দুর্নীতির আখড়া, সন্ত্রাস-জঙ্গিবাদ করে আমাদের বহু নেতা-কর্মীকে হত্যা করেছে। আর এ কারণে ২০০৭ সালে রাজনীতি করবে না এমন মুচলেকা দিয়ে দেশত্যাগ করে। এখন বিদেশ থেকে পুড়িয়ে পুড়িয়ে মানুষ মারার হুমকি দিচ্ছে।
ন্নয়নের ধারা অব্যাহত রাখতে নৌকায় ভোট চেয়ে শেখ হাসিনা বলেন, এবারের ভোট উন্মুক্ত করে দেওয়া হয়েছে। জনগণ যাকে ভোট দেবে সেই নির্বাচিত হবে। প্রত্যন্ত অঞ্চলেও উন্নতি ও কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। সেই ধারা অব্যাহত রাখতে আওয়ামী লীগকে আবারও ক্ষমতায় আনতে হবে।
এর আগে শুক্রবার (২২ ডিসেম্বর) সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে আওয়ামী লীগের দপ্তর সম্পাদক বিপ্লব বড়ুয়া জানান, রাজধানীর তেজগাঁওয়ে ঢাকা জেলা আওয়ামী লীগ ভবন থেকে ৬ জেলার নির্বাচনী ভার্চুয়াল জনসভায় অংশগ্রহণ করবেন।
আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি পর্যায়ক্রমে খুলনা বিভাগের কুষ্টিয়া, ঝিনাইদহ ও সাতক্ষীরা, বরিশাল বিভাগের বরগুনা, ময়মনসিংহ বিভাগের নেত্রকোণা এবং চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগের রাঙ্গামাটি জেলার নির্বাচনি জনসভায় বক্তব্য দেবেন।
এর আগে, বৃহস্পতিবার আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি শেখ হাসিনা ৫ জেলার নির্বাচনী জনসভায় ভার্চুয়ালি অংশগ্রহণ করে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বক্তব্য দেন।
