বৈশ্বিক চাপ উপেক্ষা করে রাফাহতে হামলার ঘোষণা নেতানিয়াহুর
ফিলিস্তিনের রাফাহ শহরে হামলা চালানোর ঘোষণা দিয়েছে ইসরায়েল। আসন্ন এই হামলা বন্ধের দাবি বিশ্বজুড়ে জোরালো হলেও সব চাপ উপেক্ষো করে রাফাহ আক্রমণের পরিকল্পনা এগিয়ে নেওয়ার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছেন ইসরায়েলি প্রধানমন্ত্রী বেঞ্জামিন নেতানিয়াহু। বৃহস্পতিবার (১৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি) এক প্রতিবেদনে এই তথ্য জানিয়েছে ব্রিটিশ সংবাদমাধ্যম বিবিসি।
ফিলিস্তিনের স্বাধীনতাকামী সশস্ত্র গোষ্ঠী হামাসকে নির্মূলের লক্ষ্য নিয়ে অবরুদ্ধ গাজা ভূখণ্ডে হামলা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে ইসরায়েল। তবে এই অভিযানে বিপুল সংখ্যক বেসামরিক মানুষের প্রাণহানির ঘটনায় বিশ্বজুড়ে সমালোচনার মুখে পড়েছে দেশটি।
সম্ভাব্য হামলা পরিকল্পনা পুনর্বিবেচনার আন্তর্জাতিক আবেদনকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করে ইসরায়েলের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নেতানিয়াহু ‘জোরালো’ আক্রমণ চালিয়ে যাওয়ার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছেন। একইসঙ্গে গাজা নিয়ন্ত্রণকারী দল হামাসকে অবশ্যই দক্ষিণাঞ্চলীয় এই শহর থেকে নির্মূল করতে হবে বলেও ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন তিনি।
যদিও ফরাসি প্রেসিডেন্ট ইমানুয়েল ম্যাক্রোঁ এই হামলার বিষয়ে সর্বশেষ নেতানিয়াহুকে সতর্ক করে দিয়েছেন। তিনি বলেছেন, গাজায় ইসরায়েলের অভিযানের মানবিক মূল্য ‘অসহনীয়’। কিন্তু নেতানিয়াহু তার সেনাবাহিনীকে স্থল হামলার জন্য প্রস্তুত থাকার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন।
চার মাসেরও বেশি সময় ধরে চলা ইসরায়েলি আগ্রাসনের কারণে ঘর-বাড়ি হারিয়ে বাস্তুচ্যুত প্রায় ১৪ লাখ ফিলিস্তিনি বর্তমানে রাফাহতে আশ্রয় নিচ্ছেন। যদিও মিসর সীমান্তবর্তী এই শহরটি ইতোমধ্যেই ইসরায়েলি বোমাবর্ষণের শিকার হয়েছে।
নেতানিয়াহু বলেন, ‘আমরা সম্পূর্ণ বিজয় না হওয়া পর্যন্ত লড়াই করব এবং এর মধ্যে রাফাহ শহরের বিষয়ে একটি শক্তিশালী পদক্ষেপও অন্তর্ভুক্ত রয়েছে। আমরা বেসামরিক জনগণকে যুদ্ধের অঞ্চল ছেড়ে যাওয়ার অনুমতি দেওয়ার পর রাফাহতে ওই পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হবে।’
অবশ্য ফরাসি প্রেসিডেন্ট ইমানুয়েল ম্যাক্রোঁ বুধবার নেতানিয়াহুকে ফোন করে বলেছেন, গাজায় ইসরায়েলের অভিযান অবশ্যই বন্ধ করতে হবে। তিনি রাফাহতে ইসরায়েলি আক্রমণের বিরুদ্ধে ফ্রান্সের দৃঢ় বিরোধিতার কথাও জানিয়ে দেন।

ফিলিস্তিনের গাজা ভূখণ্ডের স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয় জানিয়েছে, গাজায় ইসরায়েলের আক্রমণের ফলে অন্তত ২৮ হাজার ৫৭৬ জন নিহত হয়েছে। যাদের বেশিরভাগই নারী ও শিশু। এছাড়া আহত হয়েছেন আরও ৬৫ হাজারেরও বেশি মানুষ।
গত বছরের অক্টোবরে আগ্রাসন শুরুর দিনগুলোতে ফিলিস্তিনিদের রাফাহতে আশ্রয় নেওয়ার নির্দেশ দিয়েছিল ইসরায়েল। কারণ সেসময় ইসরায়েলি সামরিক বাহিনী অবরুদ্ধ এই ভূখণ্ডটির উত্তরের শহরগুলোর বিরুদ্ধে অভিযান চালাচ্ছিল। আর এবার সেই রাফাহতেও আক্রমণের পরিকল্পনা করছে ইসরায়েল।
উল্লেখ্য, গত ৭ অক্টোবর হামাসের নজিরবিহীন আন্তঃসীমান্ত হামলার পর থেকে ইসরায়েল গাজা উপত্যকায় অবিরাম বিমান ও স্থল হামলা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। ইসরায়েলি এই হামলায় হাসপাতাল, স্কুল, শরণার্থী শিবির, মসজিদ, গির্জাসহ হাজার হাজার ভবন ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত বা ধ্বংস হয়ে গেছে।
মাঝে হামাসের সাথে এক সপ্তাহব্যাপী মানবিক বিরতির পর গত ডিসেম্বরের শুরু থেকে গাজা উপত্যকায় পুনরায় বিমান ও স্থল হামলা শুরু করে ইসরায়েল। বিরতির পর শুরু হওয়া এই অভিযানে গাজায় হামলা আরও তীব্র করে দখলদার সেনারা।
মূলত ইসরায়েলি আক্রমণ গাজাকে ধ্বংসস্তূপে পরিণত করেছে। জাতিসংঘের মতে, ইসরায়েলের বর্বর আক্রমণের কারণে গাজার প্রায় ৮৫ শতাংশ ফিলিস্তিনি বাস্তুচ্যুত হয়েছেন। আর খাদ্য, বিশুদ্ধ পানি এবং ওষুধের তীব্র সংকটের মধ্যে গাজার সকলেই এখন খাদ্য নিরাপত্তাহীন অবস্থার মধ্যে রয়েছেন।
এছাড়া অবরুদ্ধ এই ভূখণ্ডের ৬০ শতাংশ অবকাঠামো ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত বা ধ্বংস হয়ে গেছে। হাজার হাজার মানুষ কোনও ধরনের আশ্রয় ছাড়াই বসবাস করছে এবং প্রয়োজনের তুলনায় খুবই কম ত্রাণবাহী ট্রাক এই অঞ্চলে প্রবেশ করছে।
