শনিবার (৩১ আগস্ট) সকালে ঝিনাইদহের মহেশপুর মডেল প্রেসক্লাবে এক সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সভায় সর্ব সম্পতি ক্রমে আনিচুর রহমান রিপনকে সভাপতি ও আব্দুস সেলিমকে সাধারণ সম্পাদক নির্বাচিত করে ৯ সদস্য বিশিষ্ঠ কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে। মহেশপুর মডেল প্রেসক্লাবের সহ সভাপতি বিএম ওয়াদুদের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠিত সভায় মডেল প্রেসক্লাবের কমিটির মেয়াদ শেষ হওয়ায় পুরাতন কমিটি বিপুপ্ত করে নতুন কমিটি গঠন করা হয়। কমিটির অন্যান্য সদস্যরা হচ্ছে, সহ সভাপতি বিএম ওয়াদুদ, সহ সাধারণ সম্পাদক আব্দুল কাদের, প্রচার সম্পাদক আব্দুল মলেক, নির্বাহী সদস্য আব্দুর রহিম, অসীম মোদক, এম এ আজাদ। সভায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন সাংবাদিক নাসির উদ্দীন, আলহাজ¦ শরিফুল ইসলাম, আবুল হাসেম পাঠান, আশরাফুল আলম, তরিকুল ইসলাম প্রমুখ।
