যমজ বোনকে হাতুড়িপেটা: ছাত্রলীগ নেতা পলাতক, বাবা গ্রেপ্তার
পাবনার চাটমোহরে বাড়ির সীমানায় গাছ কাটা নিয়ে দ্বন্দ্বের জেরে যমজ বোনকে হাতুড়ি দিয়ে পিটিয়ে আহতের অভিযোগ উঠেছে এক ছাত্রলীগ নেতার বিরুদ্ধে।
শুক্রবার (১৭ মে) দুপুর সাড়ে ১২টার দিকে উপজেলার উথুলি খামারপাড়া গ্রামে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। এ ঘটনায় মেয়ের বাবা বাদী হয়ে রাতেই মামলা করেন। মামলায় ছাত্রলীগ নেতার বাবাকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে।
আহত দুই বোন হলেন মিম (২০) ও লাম (২০)। তারা পৌর সদরের আরাজি উথুলী খামারপাড়া মহল্লার রেজাউল করিম রিজুর মেয়ে। আর অভিযুক্ত ছাত্রলীগ নেতা একই এলাকার রফিকুল ইসলামের ছেলে আলিফ ইয়ামান পায়েল (২২)। তিনি চাটমোহর পৌর ছাত্রলীগের সভাপতি।
জানা গেছে, ঘটনার সময় বাড়ির পাশে কদম গাছের ডাল কাটছিলেন ছাত্রলীগ নেতা পায়েল। এ সময় প্রতিবেশী রেজাউল করিমের মেয়ে লাম তাকে গিয়ে বলেন গাছ কাটার সময় তাদের কলা গাছ যেন নষ্ট না হয়। এ নিয়ে কথা–কাটাকাটির একপর্যায়ে ছাত্রলীগ নেতা পায়েল হাতুড়ি দিয়ে লামকে পিটিয়ে গুরুতর আহত করেন। এ সময় তার বোন মিম এগিয়ে আসলে তাকেও হাতুড়ি দিয়ে পিটিয়ে আহত করা হয়। পায়েল ও তার মা-বাবা মিলে যমজ দুই বোনকে বেধড়ক মারধর করেন। পরে চিৎকার চেঁচামেচি শুনে দুই বোনের পরিবারের লোকজন গিয়ে এলাকাবাসীর সহায়তায় তাদের উদ্ধার করে চাটমোহর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি করে।
অভিযুক্ত চাটমোহর পৌর ছাত্রলীগের সভাপতি পায়েল বলেন, আমার মায়ের সঙ্গে ওরা দুই বোন মারামারি করেছে। আমি সেখানে ঠেকাতে গিয়েছিলাম। আমি তাদেরকে মারিনি। আমার বিরুদ্ধে অহেতুক অভিযোগ করা হয়েছে আমাকে ফাঁসানোর জন্য।
চাটমোহর উপজেলা ছাত্রলীগের সভাপতি হুমায়ুন কবির হিমু বলেন, বিষয়টি আমি শুনেছি। এটি অত্যন্ত নিন্দনীয় কাজ হয়েছে। সন্ত্রাসীমূলক কর্মকাণ্ডের জায়গা ছাত্রলীগে নেই। যদি সে দোষী সাব্যস্ত হয়, আমি তার বিরুদ্ধে শাস্তির দাবি জানাই। যেহেতু ছাত্রলীগের কমিটি জেলা ছাত্রলীগের নিয়ন্ত্রণে। সে কারণে জেলা ছাত্রলীগ এই বিষয়টি দেখবে।
চাটমোহর থানার ওসি সেলিম রেজা বলেন, এ ব্যাপারে মামলা দায়ের হয়েছে। অভিযুক্ত একজনকে গ্রেপ্তার করে শনিবার (১৮ মে) আদালতের মাধ্যমে জেলহাজতে পাঠানো হয়েছে। অন্যদের গ্রেপ্তারের চেষ্টা চলছে।
