যশোরের চৌগাছা ও ঝিকরগাছা উপজেলায় বিদ্রোহী ও স্বতন্ত্র প্রার্থীদের কাছে অধিকাংশে নৌকার হার হয়েছে।এই দুই উপজেলার মধ্যে চৌগাছা উপজেলার ১১টি ইউনিয়নের মধ্যে আগেই নৌকার দুইজন বিনাপ্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতায় নির্বাচিত হন। বৃহস্পতিবার (১১ নভেম্বর) ভোটগ্রহণ হয় ৯টিতে। নির্বাচনে বাকি নয়টি ইউপিতে মাত্র তিনটিতে নৌকার প্রার্থী বিজয়ী হয়। বাকি চারটি ইউনিয়নে বিদ্রোহী এবং দুটিতে (স্বতন্ত্র- বিএনপি সমর্থিত) প্রার্থীরা বিজয়ী হয়েছেন।

চৌগাছা উপজেলায় বেসরকারি ফলাফলে নির্বাচিতরা হলেন, পাশাপোলে নৌকার অবাইদুল ইসলাম সবুজ, সিংহঝুলীতে বিদ্রোহী আব্দুল হামিদ মল্লিক, ধুলিয়ানীতে বিদ্রোহী এসএম মোমিনুর রহমান, জগদীশপুরে বিদ্রোহী মাস্টার সিরাজুল ইসলাম, পাতিবিলায় বিএনপির আতাউর রহমান লাল, হাকিমপুরে বিএনপির মাসুদুল হাসান, স্বরুপদহে বিদ্রোহী নুরুল কদর, নারায়নপুরে নৌকার শাহিনুর রহমান শাহিন এবং সুখপুকুরিয়ায় নৌকার মুক্তিযোদ্ধা হবিবর রহমান হবি।

এরমধ্যে জগদীশপুরে নৌকার প্রার্থী ৩১ অক্টোবর সংবাদ সম্মেলনে বিদ্রোহী প্রার্থী ভাতিজা আজাদ রহমান খানের সামর্থনে নির্বাচনী প্রচরণা থেকে সরিয়ে নেন। পরে ২ নভেম্বর তিনি আবার প্রচারণায় ফিরে আসেন। ভোটের ফলাফলে দেখা যায়, সিরাজুল ইসলাম মাস্টার মাত্র ৬৪২ ভোটে নৌকাকে পরাজিত করেছেন।

অন্যদিকে বিদ্রোহী নৌকা প্রার্থীর ভাতিজা পেয়েছেন প্রায় এক হাজার ভোট। অন্যদিকে স্বরুপদাহে নৌকার প্রার্থী মাত্র ২৬৬ ভোটে বিদ্রোহী নুরুল কদরের কাছে হেরেছেন। এখানে আরো দুই বিদ্রোহী মিলে চার হাজারের ওপরে ভোট পেয়েছেন। এছাড়া সিংহঝুলি এবং ধুলিয়ানীতেও দুজন করে বিদ্রোহী প্রার্থী ছিলেন। তাদের মধ্যে একজন করে পাশ করেছেন। এছাড়া পাশাপোলে দুজন বিদ্রোহী থাকলেও নৌকা, নারায়নপুরে একজন বিদ্রোহী ও বিএনপি প্রার্থীকে পরাজিত করে এবং সুখপুকুরিয়ায় বিদ্রোহী প্রার্থীকে পরাজিত করে নৌকা জিতেছে। এরআগে ফুলসারা ইউপিতে মেহেদী মাসুদ চৌধুরী এবং চৌগাছা সদর ইউপিতে আবুল কাশেম বিনাপ্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতায় বিজয়ী হন।

এদিকে,ঝিকরগাছা উপজেলার ১১টি ইউনিয়নের মধ্যে আটটিতে নৌকার প্রার্থীরা বিজয়ী হয়েছেন। বাকি তিনটির মধ্যে দুইটিতে আওয়ামী লীগের বিদ্রোহী ও একটিতে স্বতন্ত্র (বিএনপি) প্রার্থী বেসরকারিভাবে বিজয়ী হন।

বৃহস্পতিবার (১১ নভেম্বর) ভোটগ্রহণ শেষে রাতে ভোটগণনা করে ফলাফল ঘোষণা করা হয়।
