যশোরে ট্রেনের ধাক্কায় টলি চালক নিহত

যশোর সদরের চুড়ামনকাটিতে ট্রেন দুর্ঘটনায় একজন নিহত হয়েছেন। নিহত সাইদুল ইসলাম (৪০) চুড়ামনকাটি ইউনিয়নের ছাতিয়ানতলা মল্লিকপাড়ার মৃত আতর আলীর ছেলে। মঙ্গলবার বেলা ১১ টা ৪৫ মিনিটে মুন্সি মেহেরুল্লা রেল স্টেশনে এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। এ সময় ৩০ মিনিট ট্রেন চলাচল বন্ধ ছিলো।
এলাকাবাসী সূত্রে জানা যায়, সাইদুল ইসলাম চুড়ামনকাটি বাজার থেকে তার নিজস্ব টলিতে মাটি বোঝাই করে ছাতিয়ানতলার উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা হন। পথিমধ্যে ছাতিয়ানতলা মল্লিকপাড়া রেল লাইনের উপর পৌঁছালে খুলনা থেকে ছেড়ে আসা পাকশিগামি একটি যাত্রীবাহি ট্রেন এসে ধাক্কা দেয়। এ সময় টলিসহ সাইদুল ইসলাম ট্রেনের সামনে জড়িয়ে গেলে ট্রেন তাদের টানতে টানতে প্রায় ১ কিলোমিটার দূরে মুন্সি মেহেরুল্লা রেল স্টেশনে থামে। এ সময় এলাকাবাসী সাইদুলের খন্ডিবিখন্ড লাশ ও গাড়িটি উদ্ধার করে। এ সময় ৩০ মিনিট সকল রেল চলাচল বন্ধ ছিলো।
নিহত সাইদুল ইসলামের ছেলে সুমন জানান, তার পিতাই ছিলেন তাদের পরিবারের একমাত্র আয়ের মাধ্যম।
দুর্ঘটনার খবর পেয়ে দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে আসে সাজিয়ালী ফাঁড়ি পুলিশ। পুলিশ এসে পরিস্থিত শান্ত করে। পরে রেল পুলিশ মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে মর্গে পাঠায়।
