যশোরে বিআরটিসি বাসে অগ্নিসংযোগ: কাউকে আটক করতে পারেনি পুলিশ

যশোরের মণিহার বাসস্ট্যান্ড এলাকায় বৃহস্পতিবার রাত পৌনে ১১টার দিকে বিআরটিসির একটি যাত্রীবাহী বাসে অগ্নিসংযোগের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। এতে বাসটি পুরোপুরি পুড়ে যায়। তবে কোনো হতাহতের ঘটনা ঘটেনি।
স্থানীয় প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী ও শ্রমিক নেতারা জানান, বিআরটিসির এই যাত্রীবাহী বাসটি শুক্রবার সকাল ৭টায় মণিহার থেকে ভোলার চরফ্যাশানের উদ্দেশ্যে ছেড়ে যাওয়ার কথা ছিল। বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে বাসটি শহরের মণিহার বাসস্ট্যান্ড এলাকায় এনে পার্কিং করে রাখেন চালক। এরপর গাড়িটিতে মোটরপার্টস তোলা হয়। এরপর চালক ও হেলপাড় গাড়ি থেকে নেমে যান। রাত পৌনে ১১টার দিকে হঠাৎ করে গাড়ির পেছনের অংশে দাউ দাউ করে আগুন জ্বলতে দেখেন আশপাশের লোকজন। দ্রæত আগুন পুরো বাসে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। খবর পেয়ে দ্রæত ফায়ার সার্ভিস কর্মীরা ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণের চেষ্টা করেন। কিন্তু এরই মধ্যে বাসের সিংহভাগই পুড়ে যায়। রাত সাড়ে ১১টার দিকে বাসের আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আসে।
এ দিকে বাসে অগ্নিসংযোগের ঘটনায় বিএনপি-আওয়ামী লীগ পাল্টাপাল্টি দোষারোপ করেছে।
বিএনপির খুলনা বিভাগীয় ভারপ্রাপ্ত সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক অনিন্দ্য ইসলাম অমিত বলেন, ‘গণতন্ত্র পুনরুদ্ধারে বিএনপির চলমান আন্দোলনকে নস্যাৎ এবং ভিন্নখাতে প্রবাহিত করার জন্য ক্ষমতাসীনদের পক্ষ থেকে এ অপতৎপরতা শুরু হয়েছে। সারা শহরে আইন-শৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীর ২৪ ঘণ্টা সতর্ক নজরদারির মাঝে এমন একটি দুষ্কর্ম, সরকারের ইন্ধনেই ঘটেছে বলে আমরা মনে করি। আমাদের এ আন্দোলনকে নস্যাৎ করবার জন্য অত্যন্ত ঘৃণিতভাবে বাসে অগ্নিসংযোগ করা হয়েছে।’
এ ব্যাপারে যশোর জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক শাহীন চাকলাদার এমপি বলেন, ‘বিএনপির তিনদিনের অবরোধ জনগণ মানেনি। এমন বাস্তবতায় তারা আরও দু’দিনের অবরোধের ডাক দিয়েছে। তারা বুঝতে পেরেছে এই অবরোধও আনসাকসেস হবে। এজন্য মানুষের মাঝে ভীতি ছড়াতে, আতঙ্ক ছড়াতে তারা বাসে আগুন দিয়েছে। জেলা আওয়ামী লীগ যশোরে যেকোনো ধরণের সন্ত্রাস, নৈরাজ্যের অপতৎপরতা রুখে দেবে।’
এদিকে, বাসে অগ্নিসংযোগের ঘটনায় যশোর কোতোয়ালি মডেল থানায় এখনও কোনো মামলা হয়নি। পুলিশও এ ঘটনায় জড়িত থাকার অভিযোগে কাউকে আটকও করতে পারেনি।
