যশোর উপশহরে দুপুরে ভাত খাওয়াকে কেন্দ্র করে ছোট ভাই রাকিবের ছুরিকাঘাতে বড় ভাই জনি গুরুতর জখম হয়েছে। জখম জনিকে (২৫) স্থানীয়রা উদ্ধার করে যশোর জেনারেল হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করে। কিন্তু তার অবস্থা আশঙ্কাজনক হওয়ায় চিকিৎসকরা খুলনায় রেফার করেছে। চিকিৎসক জানিয়েছেন আহতের বুক ভেদ করেছে ধারালো জাতীয় কোনো অস্ত্র। তাকে শঙ্কামুক্ত বলা যাচ্ছে না। তাকে খুলনায় নেয়ার পরামর্শ দেয়া হয়েছে। অন্যদিকে, উপশহর ফাঁড়ি পুলিশ অভিযুক্ত রাকিবকে (২০) তাৎক্ষণিক আটক করেছেন। মঙ্গলবার (১৫ অক্টোবার) দুপুর আড়াইটার দিকে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। জখম জনির অভিযোগ, তার ছোটভাই রাকিব পকেট থেকে টাকা চুরি করেছে। এনিয়ে বকাঝকা করলে সে বুকে ছুরি ঢুকিয়ে দিয়েছে। তবে অভিযুক্ত রাকিব ও স্থানীয়রা বলছে ভিন্ন কথা। রাকিবের দাবি দুপুরের খাবার খাওয়া নিয়ে বাকবিতন্ডা হয়। তবে আমি তাকে ছুরিকাঘাত করিনি। অপরদিকে, জনৈক প্রতিবেশি বলেন-ভাত খাওয়া নিয়ে তর্কাতর্কির এক পর্যায়ে রাকিব ধারালো কিছু দিয়ে আঘাত করেছে। টাকা চুরির অভিযোগ ঠিক না। আহত ও জখম দু’জনের বাড়ি ময়মনসিংহে। তারা উপশহরে সরকারি জমিতে ঘর বানিয়ে বসবাস করে আসছিলো। অভাবের সংসারে দু’ভাইয়ের মধ্যে প্রায়ই কলহ হতে শুনেছে স্থানীয়রা। যশোর উপশহর ফাঁড়ির ইনচার্জ কামাল হোসেন জানান খবর পেয়ে তাৎক্ষণিক অভিযুক্তকে আটক করা হয়েছে।
