নাটোরের সিংড়ায় চোলাই মদ তৈরি, সংরক্ষণ ও বিক্রির অভিযোগে ৬ মাদক কারবারিকে গ্রেফতার করেছে র্যাপিড অ্যাকশন ব্যাটালিয়ন (র্যাব)।
বুধবার (২৭ জুলাই) রাতে সিংড়া উপজেলার কলেজপাড়া এলাকা থেকে ২ হাজার ৮৫০ লিটার চোলাই মদসহ তাদের গ্রেফতার করা হয়।
নাটোর র্যাব ক্যাম্পের কোম্পানি কমান্ডার অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার ফরহাদ হোসেন বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
গ্রেফতারকৃতরা হলেন, মৃত মিছরী লাল এর ছেলে শ্রী বিহারী লাল (৫০) ও শ্রী সুকান্ত, মৃত সুকুমারের ছেলে শ্রী সুব্রত কুমার দাস(৩৫), মৃত মন্টু’র ছেলে শ্রী গুরুদেব(২৬), সরকারপাড়া মহল্লার হযরত আলী মন্ডলের ছেলে মোঃ নরুন্নবী (৫০) ও একই মহল্লার মৃত বয়তুল্লাহ’র ছেলে মোঃ শামীম (৩৮)।
সিংড়া থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) নূর-এ-আলম সিদ্দিকী বলেন, আটককৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে মামলার মাধ্যমে আদালতে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে।
