ঝিনাইদহের হরিণাকুণ্ডুতে ক্রীড়া ও সাংস্কৃতিক অঙ্গনের৷ উজ্জ্বল নক্ষত্র জাতির পিতার জ্যেষ্ঠ পুত্র বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা শহীদ ক্যাপ্টেন শেখ কামাল এঁর ৭২তম জন্মবার্ষিকী পালিত হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার উপজেলা প্রশাসনের আয়োজনে দিনব্যাপী কর্মসূচির অংশ হিসেবে সকালে উপজেলা পরিষদ, উপজেলা প্রশাসন ও উপজেলা ক্রীড়া সংস্থার পক্ষ থেকে তার প্রতিকৃতিতে পূষ্পমাল্য অর্পন করা হয়। পরে উপজেলা প্রশাসনের আয়োজনে উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার সৈয়দা নাফিস সুলতানার সভাপতিত্বে স্মৃতিচারণমূলক আলোচনায় প্রধান অতিথি হিসাবে বক্তব্য রাখেন উপজেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান মোঃ জাহাঙ্গীর হোসাইন। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসাবে সংসদ সদস্যের প্রতিনিধি রওশন আলী,থানা অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) আব্দুর রহিম মোল্লা, পৌর মেয়র মোঃ ফারুক হোসেন বক্তব্য রাখেন। এছাড়াও বক্তব্য রাখেন ইউপি চেয়ারম্যানদের পক্ষে ফজলুর রহমান, অধ্যক্ষ মোক্তার আলী, শরিফুল ইসলাম, হরিণাকুণ্ডু প্রেস ক্লাব সভাপতি ও ক্রীড়া সংস্থার সাধারণ সম্পাদক এম, সাইফুজ্জামান তাজু। এসময় উপজেলা প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন কর্মকর্তা মোহাম্মদ জামাল হোসাইন, উপজেলা প্রকৌশলী আরিফুর রহমান, প্রেস ক্লাব সাধারণ সম্পাদক এইচ মাহবুব মিলু, প্রধান শিক্ষক নিয়ামত আলী, উপজেলা প্রোগ্রামার ওয়াসিকুর রহমান,আনসার ভিডিপি কর্মকর্তা রিনা খাতুন সহ উপজেলা পরিষদের বিভিন্ন দপ্তর প্রধান। সভায় স্বাগত বক্তব্য রাখেন যুব উন্নয়ন কর্মকর্তা বেল্লাল হোসেন ও সঞ্চালনা করেন মহিলা বিষয়ক কর্মকর্তা মুন্সী ফিরোজা সুলতানা। এছাড়াও দিবসটি উপলক্ষে যুব উন্নয়ন অধিদপ্তরের উদ্যোগে উপজেলা পরিষদ চত্তরে গাছের চারা রোপণ সহ বিতরণ ও ধর্মীয় প্রতিষ্ঠানে বিশেষ দোয়ার মাহফিল অনুষ্ঠিত হয় ।
