ইবিতে আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস পালিত

ইসলামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে (ইবি) অমর একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারি মহান শহীদ দিবস ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস ২০২২ যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদায় পালন করা হয়েছে। দিনটি পালন উপলক্ষ্যে ২০ ফেব্রুয়ারি রাতে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কেন্দ্রীয় মসজিদে ভাষা শহীদদের রুহের মাগফিরাতের উদ্দেশ্যে পবিত্র কুরআন খতম ও দোয়া মাহফিলের আয়োজন করা হয়। ২০ ফেব্রুয়ারি রাত ১১.৪৫ মিনিটে প্রশাসন ভবন চত্বর হতে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কেন্দ্রীয় শহীদ মিনারে যাত্রা করা হয়। এরপর ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি’র প্রথম প্রহরে রাত ১২.০১ মিনিটে কেন্দ্রীয় শহীদ মিনারে ভাষা শহীদদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি নিবেদন করেন উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. শেখ আবদুস সালাম। এ সময় তাঁর সাথে ছিলেন উপ-উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ মাহবুবুর রহমান, ট্রেজারার প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ আলমগীর হোসেন ভূঁইয়া ও রেজিস্ট্রার (ভারঃ) মু. আতাউর রহমান। উপাচার্যের শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি নিবেদন শেষে পর্যায়ক্রমে বিভিন্ন সমিতি, পরিষদ ও ফোরাম, বিভিন্ন অনুষদ, বিভাগ ও হল, বিভিন্ন ছাত্র সংগঠন, বিভিন্ন সাংবাদিক সংগঠন, বিভিন্ন সামাজিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠন এবং ইবি থানার পক্ষ থেকে স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি নিবেদন করা হয়। শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি নিবেদন শেষে ভাষা শহীদদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে ১ মিনিট নিরবতা পালন এবং তাঁদের আত্মার শান্তি কামনায় দোয়া ও মোনাজাত করা হয়।
এদিকে ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি সকাল ১০ টায় ভাষা শহীদদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাজানিয়ে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রশাসন ভবন ও হলসমূহে জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করে অর্ধনমিত এবং কালো পতাকা উত্তোলন করা হয়। প্রশাসন ভবন চত্বরে জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করে অর্ধনমিত করেন উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. শেখ আবদুস সালাম এবং কালো পতাকা উত্তোলন করেন উপ-উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ মাহবুবুর রহমান। পতাকা উত্তোলন পর্ব শেষে জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে মৃত্যুঞ্জয়ী মুজিব ম্যুরালে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি নিবেদন করেন উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. শেখ আবদুস সালাম। এ সময় তাঁর সাথে ছিলেন উপ-উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ মাহবুবুর রহমান, ট্রেজারার প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ আলমগীর হোসেন ভূঁইয়া ও রেজিস্ট্রার (ভারঃ) মু. আতাউর রহমান।
