প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা বলেছেন, ‘কেউ বেকার থাকবে না সেই ব্যবস্থা করেছি।’ বৃহস্পতিবার (২৪ নভেম্বর) বেলা তিনটার দিকে যশোর শামস্-উল হুদা স্টেডিয়ামে আয়োজিত জনসভায় তিনি এ কথা বলেন। তিনি বলেন, ‘কেউ বেকার থাকবে না সেই ব্যবস্থা করেছি। যশোর ২৫০ শয্যা থেকে ৫০০ শয্যা হাসপাতালে উন্নীত করছি। অভয়নগরে ইপিজেড করার জন্য ৫০০ একর জমি অধিগ্রহণ করেছি। যুবকরা কেউ বেকার থাকবে না এবং গৃহহীন থাকবে না।’প্রধানমন্ত্রীর আগমনকে ঘিরে শুধু স্টেডিয়ামের সভাস্থলই না; যশোর শহর জনসমুদ্রে পরিণত হয়েছে। এর আগে বেলা ১২টার দিকে পবিত্র কুরআন তিলাওয়াত, গীতা ও ত্রিপিটক পাঠের মধ্যদিয়ে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে জনসভা শুরু হয়।জনসভার সভাপতি ও যশোর জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি শহিদুল ইসলাম মিলনের উদ্বোধনী বক্তব্যের মধ্যে দিয়ে জনসভা শুরু হয়। মঞ্চে ইতিমধ্যেই দলীয় প্রধান ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনাসহ অন্যান্য কেন্দ্রীয় নেতৃবৃন্দ উপস্থিত হয়েছেন।দলীয় সূত্র জানায়, একাদশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনের আগে দলীয় ব্যানারে ঢাকার বাইরে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর এটিই প্রথম জনসভা। তার আগমন ঘিরে গোটা যশোরে এখন নিচ্ছিদ্র নিরাপত্তার চাদরে ঢাকা হয়েছে।
