বছরের শুরুতে আবারও বাড়ল রান্নার কাজে বহুল ব্যবহৃত তরলীকৃত পেট্রোলিয়াম গ্যাসের (এলপিজি) দাম।
জানুয়ারি মাসে ভোক্তা পর্যায়ে ১২ কেজি সিলিন্ডারের দাম ২৯ টাকা বাড়িয়ে ১৪৩৩ টাকা নির্ধারণ করেছে নিয়ন্ত্রক সংস্থা বাংলাদেশ এনার্জি রেগুলেটরি কমিশন (বিইআরসি)। যা এতদিন ১৪০৪ টাকায় বিক্রি হয়ে আসছিল।
মঙ্গলবার (২ জানুয়ারি) দুপুরে এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এ দাম ঘোষণা করে বিইআরসি। ঘোষিত এই দাম আজ সন্ধ্যা ৬টা থেকে কার্যকর হবে বলে জানানো হয়েছে।
বিইআরসির ঘোষণায় বলা হয়, কোনো পর্যায়ে (এলপিজি মজুতকরণ ও বোতলজাতকরণ, ডিস্ট্রিবিউটর এবং ভোক্তাপর্যায়ে রিটেইলার পয়েন্টে) কমিশন কর্তৃক নির্ধারিত মূল্যের চেয়ে অধিক মূল্যে এলপিজি (বোতলজাতকৃত এবং রেটিকুলেটেড সিস্টেমের মাধ্যমে সরবরাহকৃত)/ অটোগ্যাস বিক্রয় করা যাবে না। এর আগে ডিসেম্বর মাসে ১২ কেজি সিলিন্ডারের দাম এক হাজার ৩৮১ টাকা থেকে ২৩ টাকা বাড়িয়ে এক হাজার ৪০৪ টাকা নির্ধারণ করেছিল বিইআরসি।
