রেলের পক্ষ থেকে চলছে মামলার প্রস্তুতি
রাজধানীতে বেনাপোল এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেনে ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকাণ্ডের ঘটনায় মামলার প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছে রেলওয়ে পুলিশ। শনিবার (৬ ডিসেম্বর) এ তথ্য জানান ঢাকা রেলওয়ে পুলিশের এসপি আনোয়ার হোসেন।
তিনি বলেন, শুক্রবার রাত ৯টা ৪৫ মিনিটে রাজধানীর গোপীবাগে বেনাপোল এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেনে আগুন লাগে। পরে ৮টি ইউনিটের চেষ্টায় রাত ১০টা ২০ মিনিটে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে ফায়ার সার্ভিস। দুর্বৃত্তদের দেওয়া এ আগুনে চারজন নিহত হয়েছেন।
এই ঘটনায় গোপীবাগ এলাকায় অগ্নিকাণ্ডের ঘটনাস্থলসহ আশপাশের সিসিটিভি ফুটেজ সংগ্রহ করা হচ্ছে। সন্দেহজনক ব্যক্তিদের চিহ্নিত করে আটকের চেষ্টা করা হচ্ছে। রেলওয়ের ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত বেনাপোল এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেনটির গার্ড বাদী হয়ে মামলা করবেন। সেই প্রস্তুতি চলছে।
এদিকে ট্রেনে আগুনের ঘটনা নিয়ে ডিবিপ্রধান হারুন অর রশীদের দাবি, বিএনপি এই নাশকতা চালিয়েছে। এর তথ্য-প্রমাণও তারা পেয়েছেন।
