১ ফেব্রুয়ারি অমর একুশে বইমেলার উদ্বোধন করবেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী
প্রতি বছরের মতো এবারও ফেব্রুয়ারির প্রথম দিনে মাসব্যাপী দেশের বৃহত্তম বইমেলা ঐতিহাসিক ‘অমর একুশে গ্রন্থমেলা ২০২৪’, শুরু হতে যাচ্ছে।
অমর একুশে গ্রন্থমেলা কমিটির সদস্য সচিব ড. কে এম মুজাহিদুল ইসলাম বলেন, প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি বিকেল ৩টায় বাংলা একাডেমি প্রাঙ্গণে এবং সোহরাওয়ার্দী উদ্যানে অনুষ্ঠেয় মেলার উদ্বোধন করবেন বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে।
এবার মেলায় ৫৭৩টি প্রতিষ্ঠানকে মোট ৮৯৫টি স্টল বরাদ্দ দেওয়া হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে ৭৮৬টি সাধারণ স্টল এবং ১০৯টি স্টল লিটল ম্যাগাজিন চত্বরকে দেওয়া হবে বলে জানান ড. মুজাহিদুল।
এছাড়া এ বছর মোট ৩৭টি প্যাভিলিয়ন বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে। গত বছর ৬০১টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের অনুকূলে ৯০১টি স্টল বরাদ্দ দেওয়া হয়েছিল।
মেলার পুরো কাজ বাংলা একাডেমি একাই করছে উল্লেখ করে ড. মুজাহিদুল আরও বলেন, আগের বছরগুলোতে মেলা আয়োজনে কিছু ইভেন্ট ম্যানেজমেন্ট কোম্পানি জড়িত ছিল, যা গত বছর কিছুটা সমালোচনার মুখে পড়েছিল।
তিনি জানান, মেলা শেষ হওয়ার পরপরই শুরু হয় পরবর্তী মেলার প্রস্তুতি এবং প্রস্তুতি পর্বের জন্য, উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানের জন্য এবং মাসব্যাপী মেলা পরিচালনার জন্য তিন ধাপে পৃথক কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে।
এছাড়া সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান ও মাসব্যাপী সেমিনারের পাশাপাশি শিশু-কিশোরদের জন্য ছবি আঁকা, সংগীত ও আবৃত্তি প্রতিযোগিতার ব্যবস্থা থাকবে।
আয়োজকরা জানান, ২৩ জানুয়ারি ডিজিটালাইজড লটারি পদ্ধতির মাধ্যমে পুরানো এবং নতুন তালিকাভুক্ত প্রকাশনার জন্য স্টল বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে। ইতোমধ্যে তালিকাভুক্ত ৬০১টি সংস্থা ছাড়াও, প্রায় ৭০টি নতুন প্রকাশনা নোটিশে সাড়া দিয়ে স্টল বরাদ্দ পেতে আবেদন করেছিল। এর মধ্যে ২৩টি নতুন প্রকাশনা মেলায় অংশ নেওয়ার জন্য নির্বাচিত হয়েছে।
ড. মুজাহিদুল বলেন, বিগত বছরের মতো এবারও মেলার মূল মঞ্চ হবে বাংলা একাডেমি প্রাঙ্গণে এবং সোহরাওয়ার্দী উদ্যান প্রাঙ্গণে তৈরি করা হবে বইয়ের মোড়ক উন্মোচন ও লেখক বলছি মঞ্চ। রমনা কালী মন্দিরের পাশে সাধুসঙ্গ এলাকায় ‘শিশু চত্বর’ স্থাপন করা হবে।
বাংলা সাহিত্যের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে উল্লেখযোগ্য অবদানের জন্য এ বছর ১১টি বিভাগে ১৬ জনকে কবিতা, কথাসাহিত্য, প্রবন্ধ/গবেষণা, অনুবাদ, নাটক, শিশুসাহিত্য বিভাগ, মুক্তিযুদ্ধ, বঙ্গবন্ধু পরিবেশ/বিজ্ঞান ক্ষেত্র, জীবনী ও লোককাহিনী ইত্যাদি বাংলা একাডেমি সাহিত্য পুরস্কার-২০২৩ দেওয়া হবে।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি থেকে শুরু হতে যাওয়া অমর একুশে গ্রন্থমেলা-২০২৪-এর উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে পুরস্কার তুলে দেবেন।
এদিকে বর্তমান পরিস্থিতি এবং বইমেলা এলাকায় মেট্রোরেল পরিচালনার ফলে সৃষ্ট চ্যালেঞ্জ বিবেচনায় মেলার নিখুঁত নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশ বিগত বছরের মতো সব ব্যবস্থা নিয়েছে।
ডিএমপি পুলিশের ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তাদের সঙ্গে বৈঠকের পর এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানিয়েছেন, বইমেলাকে কেন্দ্র করে প্রধান চ্যালেঞ্জের মধ্যে রয়েছে- জঙ্গিবাদ, অগ্নিসংযোগ ও ট্রাফিক ব্যবস্থাপনা।
ডিএমপির মতে মেট্রোরেলে দুর্বৃত্তরা নাশকতা চালানোর চেষ্টা করছে এমনটি লক্ষ্য করায় মেট্রোরেল পরিষেবা একটি নতুন চ্যালেঞ্জ হিসেবে উপস্থিত হয়েছে।
তবে বইমেলা মাঠের ভেতরে ও বাইরে ডিএমপি ইউনিফর্ম এবং সাদা পোশাকে পর্যাপ্ত সংখ্যক পুলিশ সদস্য মোতায়েন করা হবে এবং মেলার আশেপাশের সবকিছু পর্যবেক্ষণের জন্য একটি ওয়াচ টাওয়ার এবং ফায়ার টেন্ডার স্থাপন করা হবে।
এছাড়া মেলার মাঠ ও এর আশপাশ সিসিটিভি ক্যামেরা ও ড্রোন দিয়ে সার্বক্ষণিক মনিটরিং করা হবে বলে জানান ডিএমপি কমিশনার। ডিএমপির টিম পুরো ঘটনাস্থল ঝাড়ু দেবে এবং গুজব ঠেকাতে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া মনিটরিং করা হবে।
