আনসার বাহিনীকে আরও স্মার্ট ও আধুনিক করা হচ্ছে: প্রধানমন্ত্রী
জাতীয় সম্পদ রক্ষায় আনসার ও গ্রাম প্রতিরক্ষা বাহিনী গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখছে জানিয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা বলেছেন, এই বাহিনীকে আরও স্মার্ট ও আধুনিক করতে কাজ করছে সরকার।
সোমবার (১২ ফেব্রুয়ারি) গাজীপুরে বাংলাদেশ আনসার ও গ্রাম প্রতিরক্ষা বাহিনীর জাতীয় সমাবেশে প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে এসব কথা বলেন তিনি।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, আনসার বাহিনী জাতীয় যেকোনো প্রয়োজনে অত্যন্ত দক্ষতার সঙ্গে দায়িত্ব পালন করে যাচ্ছে।
সন্ত্রাস, মাদক ও দুর্নীতির বিরুদ্ধে আনসার বাহিনীকে সজাগ থাকার আহ্বান জানিয়ে শেখ হাসিনা বলেন, বিএনপি-জামায়াতের অগ্নিসন্ত্রাস ও রেলে আগুন দেওয়া কঠোরভাবে প্রতিহত করেছে আনসার। সন্ত্রাস, জঙ্গিবাদ, মাদক, দুর্নীতির বিরুদ্ধে আনসার বাহিনীকে আরও সজাগ থাকতে হবে।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, গ্রাম পর্যায়ে মানুষের কর্মসংস্থানে, গ্রামভিত্তিক আপনারা আরও দক্ষতার সঙ্গে মানুষকে সম্পৃক্ত করে কাজ করে যাবেন। যা দেশের আর্থসামাজিক উন্নয়নে অবদান রেখে যাবে।
এদিন সকাল ১০টার দিকে গাজীপুরের সফিপুরে বাংলাদেশ গ্রাম প্রতিরক্ষা ও আনসার ভিডিপির ৪৪তম সমাবেশে যোগ দেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। সেখানে ছাদখোলা জিপে প্যারেড পরিদর্শন করেন তিনি। ঘুরে দেখেন বিভিন্ন কন্টিনজেন্টের জমায়েত।
প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে প্যারেডের মাধ্যমে সালাম জানায় আনসারের বিভিন্ন ইউনিট। এ সময় বাহিনীতে বিশেষ অবদানের জন্য বিভিন্ন পর্যায়ের ১৮০ জনকে আনসার পদক পরিয়ে দেন সরকারপ্রধান।
