ঝিনাইদহে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার স্বদেশ প্রত্যাবর্তন দিবস পালিত হয়েছে। জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের উদ্যোগে শুক্রবার সকালে দলটির জেলা কার্যালয়ে পতাকা উত্তোলন করা হয়। পরে সেখান থেকে একটি র্যালি বের করা হয়। র্যালিটি শহরের বিভিন্ন সড়ক ঘুরে প্রেরণা একাত্তর চত্বরে গিয়ে শেষ হয়। সেখানে বঙ্গবন্ধ শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানে প্রতিকৃতিতে শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করেন নেতাকর্মীরা। পরে সংক্ষিপ্ত সমাবেশে জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি সফিকুল ইসলাম অপু, সাধারণ সম্পাদক সাইদুল করিম মিন্টু, সংরক্ষিত নারী আসনের সংসদ সদস্য পারভীন জামান কল্পনাসহ অন্যান্যরা বক্তব্য রাখেন। বক্তারা প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার দীর্ঘায়ু কামনা করে উন্নত দেশ গড়তে সবাইকে আওয়ামী লীগের হাতকে শক্তিশালী করার আহŸান জানান।
