প্রধান উপদেষ্টা অধ্যাপক মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস বলেছেন, আমাদের এমন শিক্ষা দরকার, যা শিক্ষার্থীদের সৃজনশীল মানুষ হতে সাহায্য করে। বুধবার (২০ নভেম্বর) সচিবালয়ে শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের কার্যালয় পরিদর্শনে গিয়ে এ মন্তব্য করেন তিনি।
প্রধান উপদেষ্টা বলেন, ‘মানুষ জন্মগতভাবে উদ্যোক্তা হয়ে থাকে। তবুও আমাদের শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা চাকরিপ্রার্থী তৈরি করে। এটি একটি ত্রুটিপূর্ণ শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা।’ ‘আমাদের শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থাকে এমনভাবে সংস্কার করা উচিত,- যাতে এটি একটি প্রজন্মের উদ্যোক্তা তৈরি করে। আমাদের এমন শিক্ষা দরকার, যা শিক্ষার্থীদের সৃজনশীল মানুষ হতে সাহায্য করে। আমাদের তরুণদের অবশ্যই তাদের সৃজনশীল সম্ভাবনা পূরণ করতে হবে,’ বলেন অধ্যাপক মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস।
এর আগে প্রধান উপদেষ্টা প্রথমবারের মতো সচিবালয়ে উপদেষ্টা পরিষদের বৈঠকে সভাপতিত্ব করেন। পরে শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয় পরিদর্শন করেন। অধ্যাপক মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস বলেন, ‘বাংলাদেশের এমন শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা তৈরি করা উচিত নয়,- যেখানে শুধু পরীক্ষার স্কোরের ওপর জোর দেওয়া হয়।’
প্রধান উপদেষ্টা বাংলাদেশি সমাজে প্রজন্মগত ব্যবধান সংকুচিত করার আহ্বান জানিয়ে বলেন, ‘দেশকে অবশ্যই নতুন প্রজন্মের ভাষা বুঝতে হবে,- তাদের আকাঙ্ক্ষা এবং তাদের চিন্তার প্রক্রিয়া বুঝতে হবে।’
‘আমাদের অবশ্যই তরুণদের ভাষা এবং চিন্তার প্রক্রিয়া বুঝতে হবে। আমাদের জানতে হবে,- কীভাবে প্রবীণ প্রজন্ম তাদের অভিজ্ঞতা তরুণ প্রজন্মের সঙ্গে ভাগ করে নিতে পারে’, বলেন তিনি।
প্রধান উপদেষ্টা বলেন, ‘তরুণ ও প্রবীণ প্রজন্মের মধ্যে দূরত্ব বড় হচ্ছে; এটি সমস্যা তৈরি করবে। আমাদের অবশ্যই সরকারের মধ্যে ধারণার ব্যবধান কমিয়ে আনতে হবে।’
তিনি আমাদের জাতীয় পাঠ্যক্রমে পারিবারিক মূল্যবোধ যুক্ত করার বিষয়েও জোর দেন।
শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তাদের সঙ্গে প্রধান উপদেষ্টার বৈঠকে শিক্ষা উপদেষ্টা ওয়াহিদউদ্দিন মাহমুদ ও শিক্ষা সচিব সিদ্দিক জোবায়ের উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
