ভারতের সঙ্গে বাংলাদেশের সম্পর্ক কী হবে সেটি তাদের কাজের মাধ্যমে নির্ধারিত হবে বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের অন্যতম সমন্বয়ক সারজিস আলম। তিনি বলেন, বাংলাদেশের সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক ভালো রাখতে চাইলে ভারতের শেখ হাসিনাকে আশ্রয় না দিয়ে ফেরত দিতে হবে। এ দেশের মানুষ তার বিচার করবে।
শনিবার (১৪ ডিসেম্বর) দুপুরে রাজশাহী জেলা শিল্পকলা একাডেমিতে জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশনের অনুষ্ঠানে তিনি এ মন্তব্য করেন। এ সময় সারজিস বলেন, গণঅভ্যুত্থানের বিশ্বাসের সঙ্গে বেঈমানি করলে প্রধান উপদেষ্টা ড. ইউনূসকেও ছাড় দেওয়া হবে না।
তিনি বলেন, গুলি চালানো পুলিশ সদস্যদের শাস্তির বদলে বদলি করে নতুন পোস্টিংয়ের তদবির চলছে। মামলা বাণিজ্যের সঙ্গে বিভিন্ন রাজনৈতিক দলের নেতা ও প্রশাসনের ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তারা জড়িত হচ্ছে। শেখ মুজিব হত্যার বিচারের জন্য কবর থেকে মরদেহ উত্তোলনের প্রয়োজন না হলে জুলাই-আগস্টের শহীদদের মরদেহ কেন তুলতে হবে? আর কোনো শহীদের মরদেহ কবর থেকে উত্তোলন করতে দেওয়া হবে না। পরে জুলাই-আগস্টের গণঅভ্যুত্থানে রাজশাহী বিভাগের শহীদ পরিবারের মাঝে আর্থিক সহায়তার চেক হস্তান্তর করেন। রাজশাহী বিভাগের ৬৩ শহীদ পরিবারের মধ্যে ৪৬ পরিবারকে পাঁচ লাখ টাকা করে সহায়তা দেওয়া হয় জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশন থেকে।
