ময়মনসিংহের গৌরীপুর উপজেলায় বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের সমন্বয়ক মোবারক হোসেন অভিকে ছুরিকাঘাতের অভিযোগে স্থানীয় ছাত্রলীগের এক নেতাকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে।
সোমবার (২৩ ডিসেম্বর) এক বিবৃতিতে গৌরীপুর অস্থায়ী সেনা ক্যাম্প এ তথ্য জানায়। এর আগে, রোববার (২২ ডিসেম্বর) রাতে অভিযান চালিয়ে তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করে সেনাবাহিনী। গ্রেপ্তারকৃত মোস্তাক আহমেদ নোমান উপজেলা ছাত্রলীগের সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক।
বিবৃতিতে বলা হয়, সম্প্রতি বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের অন্যতম সমন্বয়ক মোবারক হোসেন অভিকে ছুরিকাঘাত করেন গৌরীপুর উপজেলা ছাত্রলীগের সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক মোস্তাক আহমেদ নোমান। ঘটনার পরপরই পালিয়ে যান নোমান। বিবৃতিতে আরও বলা হয়, নোমানকে ধরতে গোয়েন্দা তথ্যের ভিত্তিতে গৌরীপুর অস্থায়ী সেনা ক্যাম্পের মেজর বায়েজিদ ও ক্যাপ্টেন ইমতিয়াজের নেতৃত্বে স্থানীয় আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীর সহযোগিতায় অভিযান চালানো হয়। অভিযানে গতকাল রোববার রাতে অভিযুক্তকে গ্রেপ্তার করে গৌরীপুর থানা-পুলিশের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে।
গ্রেপ্তারের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন গৌরীপুর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) গাজী মাযহারুল আনোয়ার।
