ইতোমধ্যে বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশের নেতা, ধনকুবের ও প্রযুক্তি জগতের শীর্ষস্থানীয় ধনীরা ওয়াশিংটনে হাজির হয়েছেন। ভারত থেকে এরই মধ্যে সেখানে গেছেন রিলায়েন্স ইন্ডাস্ট্রিজের চেয়ারম্যান মুকেশ আম্বানি ও তার স্ত্রী রিলায়েন্স ফাউন্ডেশনের চেয়ারপারসন নিতা আম্বানি। হিন্দুস্তান টাইমসের প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, নব-নির্বাচিত মার্কিন প্রেসিডেন্টের সঙ্গে ইতোমধ্যে সাক্ষাৎ করেছেন মুকেশ আম্বানি ও নিতা আম্বানি।
শপথ অনুষ্ঠানের একদিন আগে গতকাল রোববার ওয়াশিংটন ডিসিতে তারা ট্রাম্পের সঙ্গে ক্যান্ডেললাইট ডিনারে হাজির হন। হিন্দুস্তান টাইমস এনিয়ে একটি ছবি পোস্ট করেছে। সেখানে ট্রাম্প, মুকেশ আম্বানি ও নিতা আম্বানি হাস্যোজ্জ্বল অবস্থায় দেখা যাচ্ছে। এ ছাড়া ওই নৈশভোজে অ্যামাজনের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা জেফ বেজোসও হাজির ছিলেন।
এদিকে বিবিসির এক প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, ট্রাম্প তার দায়িত্বের প্রথম দিনেই একাধিক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নির্বাহী আদেশ জারি করার পরিকল্পনা করছেন। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে ব্যাপক অভিবাসী বহিষ্কার কর্মসূচি চালু করা, তেল উত্তোলন বৃদ্ধি করা এবং ২০২১ সালের ৬ জানুয়ারি ক্যাপিটাল হামলায় অভিযুক্ত কিছু সমর্থককে ক্ষমা করা।
ট্রাম্প নিজেই জানিয়েছেন, তিনি অনেকগুলো নির্বাহী আদেশে স্বাক্ষর করবেন।
