ঝিকরগাছার পায়রাডাঙ্গা গ্রামবাসীর ৫০ বছরের আক্ষেপ পাকা রাস্তার দাবী

যশোরের ঝিকরগাছা উপজেলার সদর ইউনিয়নের পায়রাডাঙ্গা গ্রামের বাসিন্দাদের। ঐতিহ্যবাহী এই গ্রামের অর্ধেক পৌরসভার মধ্যে বাকি অর্ধেক সদর ইউনিয়নের মধ্যে। স্বাধীনতার ৫০ বছর পার হলেও ঝিকরগাছা বাজার সংলগ্ন এই গ্রামের একটি রাস্তাও আজ পর্যন্ত পাকাকরণ করা হয়নি। এ যেন আলোর নীচেই অন্ধকার। “গ্রাম হবে শহর” সরকারি এই স্লোগান এলাবাসীর নিকট এটা শুধুই বেদনাদায়ক বাণী ছাড়া আর কিছুই না। এই গ্রামের উপর দিয়ে চলে গেছে ঝিকরগাছা মনিরামপুর মহাসড়ক। এই মহাসড়ক থেকে গ্রামে প্রবেশের তিনটি রাস্তা আছে।
সরজমিন পরিদর্শনে গিয়ে দেখা যায় তিনটি রাস্তায় কর্দমাক্ত। রাস্তার উপর পানি জমে আছে। ভ্যান, সাইকেল, মোটরসাইকেল সেই কাদা পানির মধ্যে দিয়ে ঠেলে পার করছে গ্রামের লোকজন। মানুষ হেটে চলাচল করবে সেই পরিবেশও নেই। এই নিয়ে গ্রামের মানুষের ক্ষোভের অন্ত নেই। গ্রামবাসী জানান প্রতিটি নির্বাচনের সময় জনপ্রতিনিধিগন আশ্বাস দেয় কিন্তু ভোটের পরে আর কেউ খোজ নেয়না।
গ্রামের বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা ইঞ্জিনিয়ার আব্দুর রব জানান, শহর সংলগ্ন এই গ্রামের একটি রাস্তাও আজ পর্যন্ত পাকাকরণ করা হলোনা। অথচ এই গ্রামে প্রাইমারি স্কুল, হেফজখানা, মসজিদ সহ তিন হাজার মানুষ বসবাস করে।
গ্রামের বাসিন্দা বাংলাদেশ মানবাধিকার কল্যাণ ট্রাস্টের কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক সুলতান আহমদ জানান, গ্রামের মধ্যে কোনো মানুষ বর্ষাকালে যদি অসুস্থ হয় তাহলে তাকে ঘাড়ে করে মেইন রোড পর্যন্ত আনতে হবে। বর্ষায় গ্রামের রাস্তা গুলো এতটাই খারাপ হয়ে যায় যে এম্বুলেন্স তো দুরের কথা, ভ্যানগাড়িও চলতে পারেনা। তিনি রাস্তাগুলো পাকাকরণে সরকারের আশু সুদৃষ্টি কামনা করেন।
পরপর দুইবার নির্বাচিত ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান আমির হোসেন জানান, পায়রাডাঙ্গা গ্রামের রাস্তাগুলো খুবই খারাপ। কিন্তু এই রাস্তার উন্নয়ন কাজ করবার মত যথেষ্ট ফান্ড আমাদের বরাদ্দ দেওয়া হয়না। যদি বরাদ্দ আসে তবে রাস্তাগুলোর নির্মাণ কাজ করে দেওয়া হবে।
