মাদারীপুরে ডিবি পরিচয়ে ব্যবসায়ীকে অপহরণ চেষ্টা, গ্রেপ্তার ৬
মাদারীপুরের রাজৈরে ডিবি পরিচয়ে এক ব্যবসায়ীকে অপহরণকালে ৬ জনকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পুলিশ। এ ঘটনায় মাইক্রোবাসও জব্দ করা হয়।
বুধবার (১৩ মার্চ) দুপুরে মাদারীপুরে পুলিশ সুপারের কার্যালয়ে সংবাদ সম্মেলন এ তথ্য দিয়েছেন অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার মো. কামরুল আহসান।
গ্রেপ্তাররা হলেন- পিরোজপুর জেলার সাতুরিয়া উপজেলার ডুমজুরি গ্রামের আব্দুল মান্নান হাওলাদারের ছেলে মো. সোহেল হাওলাদার (৩২), একই গ্রামের আলতাব খানের ছেলে মো. তালেব খান (২৯), একই গ্রামের মৃত মুনসুর আলী গাজীর ছেলে মো. জসিম উদ্দিন ওরফে সবুজ গাজী (৪০), একই উপজেলার চিরাপাড়া গ্রামের ছালেক শরীফের ছেলে মো. মিরাজ শরিফ (৩৫), একই উপজেলার বড় বিড়ালজুরি গ্রামের মৃত আলী আকবার হাওলাদারের ছেলে মো. খাইরুল ইসরাম হাওলাদার (৩৮) এবং একই গ্রামের মৃত কেএম রুহুল আমিন খলিফার ছেলে জুনায়দুল আমিন ওরফে কে এম রুবেল (৪৫)।
সংবাদ সম্মেলনে মো. কামরুল আহসান বলেন, মঙ্গলবার (১২ মার্চ) সকাল ১১টার দিকে কাজল ভূঁইয়া নামে এক ব্যবসায়ী জেলার রাজৈর উপজেলার টেকেরহাটে মোকাম করার জন্য রওনা করে। বেলা পৌনে ১টার দিকে টেকেরহাট ঘোষালকান্দি হাওলাদার টাওয়ারের কিং রেস্টুরেন্টের সামনে পৌঁছালে একটি সাদা রংয়ের মাইক্রোবাস দ্রুত গতিতে এসে কাজল ভূঁইয়ার পথরোধ করে ঘিরে ধরে।
এ সময় ৮ থেকে ৯ জন লোক নিজেদেরকে ডিবি পুলিশ পরিচয় দিয়ে কাজল ভূঁইয়াকে জোরপূর্বক অপহরণ করে তাদের মাইক্রোবাসে উঠিয়ে মারধর করে। পরে তারা কাজল ভূঁইয়ার স্বজনদের কাছে ফোন দিয়ে ৫ লাখ টাকা মুক্তিপণ দাবি করে অপহরণকারী চক্রটি।
অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ আরও বলেন, কাজল ভূঁইয়াকে অপহরণ করার সময়ে সেখানে থাকা স্থানীয়রা বিষয়টি দেখে পুলিশে খবর দিলে রাজৈর থানা পুলিশ নয়াকান্দি সরকারী প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের সামনে অপহরণকারী মাইক্রোবাসটিকে থামায়। এ সময় মাইক্রোবাসের ভেতর থেকে ভুক্তভোগীকে উদ্ধার ও অপহরণকারীদের গ্রেপ্তার করে হেফাজতে নেয় পুলিশ। এ ঘটনায় রাজৈর থানায় মামলা হয়েছে।
