যশোরের শার্শায় জুয়ার আসর থেকে ৫ জুয়াড়িকে আটক করেছে পুলিশ। মঙ্গলবার (২৬জুলাই) রাতে শার্শা থানাধীন গোড়পাড়া ( কৃষ্ণপুর) গ্রাম থেকে তাদেরকে আটক করে পুলিশ। আসামীরা হলেন শার্শা উপজেলার গোড়পাড়া (কৃষ্ণপুর) গ্রামের তোফাজ্জেল হোসেনের ছেলে আজিজুর রহমান (২৫), শিকারপুর গ্রামের আবু হানিফ বিশ্বাসের ছেলে জহিরুল ইসলাম কলম , কৃষ্ণপুর গ্রামের শফিউল ইসলামের ছেলে রুবেল হোসেন লক্ষণপুরের মৃত হযরত আলীর ছেলে আলী কদর (৩৫) ও মৃত ইলাহী বক্সের ছেলে রেজওয়ান।
এ বিষয়ে জানতে চাইলে,গোড়পাড়া পুলিশ ক্যাম্পের ভারপ্রাপ্ত ইনচার্জ এসআই সামনুর মোল্লা সোহান জানান, কঠোর লকডাউনে জমায়েত করে জুয়া খেলার আসর বসেছে এমন গোপন খবরে অভিযান চালিয়ে গোড়পাড়াস্থ (কৃষ্ণপুর ) গ্রাম এলাকায় মোঃ চান্দু মিয়ার বাড়ির পেছনের বাগানে বেতনা নদীর পাড় হতে জুয়া খেলারত অবস্থায় তাদেরকে আটক করা হয়। এসময় সেখান থেকে ২ জোড়া তাস ও নগদ ৩হাজার ৭শ’ ষাট টাকা উদ্ধার করা হয়। শার্শা থানার
