রাশিয়া দাবি করেছে যে, তারা একটি সিরকন (জিরকন) হাইপারসোনিক ক্রুজ ক্ষেপণাস্ত্রের সফলভাবে পরীক্ষা সম্পন্ন করেছে। আজ সোমবার (১৯ জুলাই) এক বিবৃতিতে তথ্যটি জানিয়েছে দেশটির প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়। খবর প্রকাশ করেছে বার্তা সংস্থা রয়টার্স।
প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়, ক্ষেপণাস্ত্রটি হোয়াইট সমুদ্রে অবস্থিত যুদ্ধ জাহাজ অ্যাডমিরাল গোরস্কভ থেকে নিক্ষেপ করা হয়েছিল। প্রায় ৩৫০ কিলোমিটার (২১৭ মাইল) দূরে বরেন্টস সাগরের উপকূলরেখায় স্থলের লক্ষ্যে আঘাত করার আগে এটি শব্দের গতিতে প্রায় সাতগুণ বেশি বেগে ছুটে যায়।
বিবৃতিতে মন্ত্রণালয় জানিয়েছে, পরীক্ষার সময় সিরকন ক্ষেপণাস্ত্রের কৌশলগত ও প্রযুক্তিগত বৈশিষ্ট্যগুলো নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছিল।
রাশিয়া তাদের সাবমেরিন এবং ভূপৃষ্ঠের জাহাজগুলোতে সিরকন ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র সিস্টেমটি ফিট করার পরিকল্পনা করছে।
