৬ষ্ঠ উপজেলা পরিষদ সাধারণ নির্বাচন-২০২৪, ২য় ধাপে চুয়াডাঙ্গার সদর ও আলমডাঙ্গা উপজেলা পরিষদে সকাল ৮ টা থেকে ভোট গ্রহণ শুরু হয়। ভোট চলাকালিন সময় আলমডাঙ্গা উপজেলার পৃথক দু কেন্দ্রে দু’জনকে নির্বাচনী আচরণবিধি ভঙ্গের দায়ে নির্বাচনী ভ্রাম্যমান আদালত কারাদন্ড ও অর্থদন্ড দিয়েছে। দন্ডিত দু’জন হলেন আলমডাঙ্গার ভোগাইল বগাদি গ্রামের আনারুল ইসলামের ছেলে সুজন (২৬) ও একই উপজেলার রতনপুর গ্রামের আব্দুল মালেকের ছেলে রিপন (৩০)। এদের মধ্যে সুজনকে ৫ দিন ও রিপনকে ১৫ দিনের বিনাশ্রম কারাদন্ডসহ ২০০ টাকা অর্থদন্ড দেওয়া হয়েছে। রিটার্নিং কর্মকর্তা ও চুয়াডাঙ্গা অতিরিক্ত জেলা প্রশাসক (সার্বিক) মো: নাজমুল হামিদ রেজা ভ্রাম্যমান আদালতের এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করে জানান, সদর ও আলমডাঙ্গা দু’ উপজেলায় শান্তিপূর্ণ পরিবেশে সুষ্ঠভাবে ভোট গ্রহন চলছে। দুপুর ১২ টা পর্যন্ত সদর উপজেলায় ১৭ শতাংশ এবং আলমডাঙ্গা উপজেলায় ১১ শতাংশ ভোট পোল হয়েছে।
